Great personal service from andrew


Poor pre sale service was Slough Renault. Underwhelming and lacked enthusiasm. I always had to chase contact. Delay for my Zoe was explained and reasoned but was far longer than expected- almost 6months from 1st contact. <br/>I just hope that post sale service will be better during my lease period.


We've been with Renault Watford for a number of years because we like the cars and excellent services. Overall a 9.5 score - the only thing we've had to follow-up on is the GAP Insurance and whilst waiting for updates (prior to car delivery) we had to chase these up. But overall VERY GOOD and I always recommend Renault to other people in 'car' conversations. Matt is excellent and very patient.

I had a test drive at Slough and ordered the car in August for delivery in December. Called, from memory, in November to be told Slough had closed and order transferred to Watford. Plus, the car is now going to be delivered in March. After several emails Watford agreed to supply me with a home charger given the poor service I had received. I was happy with this and felt that the poor service I had received had been acknowledged. I picked the car up and the first time I tried to charge it it would not charge. I felt it must be the home charge point fitted, but wanted to check it was not the charge lead provided (otherwise I would be charged £75 by chargemaster for the service call). I called at Watford to make sure my charge lead worked but was told that it was something wrong with the car not the charge lead or charge point. To cut a long story short after many calls Watford organised the car to be taken to West London to be fixed. West London called to say there was nothing wrong with the car or charge lead, it must have been a problem at Watford. I myself collected the car from West London and got my home charger point resolved and the car now charges fine. However, I had a hire car for 4 days that cost me £28.00, which I was not very happy about. I waited for 7 months for the car and was not kept informed about the delays in production or the garage I ordered from had closed. Plus, I feel Watford did not have much knowledge about the Zoe electric car that caused the first week of owning the car to very stressful. That said I do think the Zoe car is amazing and despite the above very poor service and stress I am very happy with my choice of electric car.

I would prefer a spare wheel, in case there is a puncture on the motor way instead of going to the nearest puncture repairer some times it is very difficult to find) can go to the nearer to my house where I know him.

when me and my wife arrived we were welcomed by the sales assistant, who immediately put us at ease which allowed us to explain what we were after in a car and a finance agreement, it was a shame the radio had an issue, but we returned the vehicle and it was promptly fixed by the service centre.


Brett was great and made the whole process easy, even when my first choice of car colour was delayed!


Andrew Smith the sales adviser was superb. Explained everything to us, and was very helpful, pleasant and made our experience with Renault Watford great.

This is the second time I've brought a car from Andrew Smith, and again he's been friendly and efficient.


Alistair, our rep, thoroughly explained our finance options and the car itself. Very satisfied.


We are delighted to have the Renault Zoe electric car. The sale of this was managed very well by Alistair Ranasinghe of Renault Watford. Our only issue is the length of time it took for our order to arrive at the dealership. Is 6 months acceptable?


We are really enjoying the new car, we had a good experience and Alistair was very helpful and attentive to our needs which helped me decide on this car which I absolutely love.


I really rated Alistair, he kept things simple and I felt he was really honest with us. Nothing was an issue for him, he listened and was understanding of our requirements. The car was delivered much earlier than we expected which was great, and Alistair pulled out all of the stops to make it happen, not least helping me personally arrange the insurance so I could take home the car that evening. I would definitely recommend Alistair to friends in the future. I am very happy with my new car.

Good servive as always!


The manual key lock did not work which is why the car went in for repair. This was the first time it was needed to be used and it did not work. Had to wait a couple of weeks for the repair but it was done fastly


I was with Renault Slough and they closed but did not inform me. Somebody passing the showrooms said they had shut down. As I was still paying for servicing by direct debit the nearest one was Watford which was veryinconvenient. Now going to Weybridge as it is nearer for me and they have a pick up service. Still very annoyed I was not contacted by RENAULTS that Slough had closed.

Watford being the nearest dealer found it inconvenient,traveling for nearly one hour. Staff excellent but having to return for a software problem when it failed the next day , having to make the journey again later this month is not very good on behalf of customers.

Do you know the main thing that put me off? When I picked the car up they basically told me to rate them 9 or 10 on the customer satisfaction survey - they even had a poster by the desk to show people what they should tick!!!! They made this request after they'd waived the £6 hire car cost so there was a subtle bribery involved as well. I think there was just dishonest - it really put me off. In addition, they hadn't cleaned the inside of the car and they gave me a pretty poor hire car during the service. But really, it was the dishonesty that got me.

Reliable and mostly efficient.


Whilst it was only bulb that was replaced I was not made aware until I picked the car up. the car was clean outside but I suspect mats were not removed inside and the surfaces had not been wiped over. I purposely asked for them to call my work number when the car was ready and yet a txt was sent - as my phones on silent during work I did not pick this up until some hours after wards. Silly things but altogether lower the customer experience


No problems other than one of the original issues that I mentioned when handing the car over still isn't totally solved.

It was a good experience. Had the car MOTed and a health check. Always a good price and the car is cleaned inside and out. The people there are always friendly and welcoming.


Almost always excellent. Exception was on previous visit, 11-12 January, I asked for an automatic courtesy car, but was given a manual and told I should find it easy. I took the challenge - quite a struggle not having used a clutch for decades, and aged nearly 80.<br/>I was a potential safety hazard - and wrote immediately afterwards to express my concern. But I have not received a reply.


I am disabled and unable to visit the garage. I was satisfied with the collection although I found it unusual to charge £10 for collection . I absolutely loved the fact of the video that was sent to me I have recommended people on that basis on that basis alone as. As like all dealers I found the work expensive/ usual for a dealer and expected prices. I was a little disappointed that only half the vehicle was balloted inside when returned.

The guys at Renault Watford were absolutely lovely. It was the week of really bad snow and I needed to walk into town with my niece's however one of the staff gave us a lift into town and said to give him a call if we needed him to pick us up. Bruna , the service agent I dealt with on this and earlier experiences, is a first class representative for Renault. She really cares about her customers and the reputation of the Company. Always polite and friendly, qualities l like and admire. Pick up and delivery back very good as with servicing of car the only little thing to note was although the car was cleaned inside and out the front interior windscreen was not cleaned.


I used the 'while you wait option' and found it worked very well although the showroom sliding door not working made the wait chilly. . The estimated time for the work to be completed was met and the vehicle was returned to me in excellent condition. So much so I had to ask when it was returned to me "Is this my car?" <br/>On the down side it annoyed me that after booking the service I was called several times asking if I had booked the service.

The pick up was OK but it took a long time and a call from me to find out when it was being returned, which in end was some 2 hours later than I was told at pick up. While the car had been washed it was in a very dirty state when returned, in fact it was dirtier on return than when it was taken. I will not use this home pick up service again

The staff are courteous, but the fault is still present. After three visits I would have expected to have been contacted to check on the repair but I have had to book it in again. I have had no contact other than with the person I booked it in with. No priority given despite this has not worked since collection in December and has been returned three times and now bookednin for a fourth attempt.

I’m in a wheelchair and came with my career they spoke directly to me and not to my career as most people do. The staff always have a smile on their face. There always there to help you in anyway they can do if they can’t assist you then they find someone who can do so. I would highly recommend Watford Renault to anyone and everyone this is my family’s 3rd car from them in two years. Nothing is too much for them to help you.


Everyone I encountered was pleasant and helpful. I was a little surprised at the cost of the work but assume it was necessary.

Amazing Service


A straightforward, transparent service at every stage. The final cost was what I expected. No hassle and no surprises.


I was happy with the service but did not receive any paper work relating what inspections and tests had been carried out during the service. I was given verbal advice on the breaks, but nothing in writing. I have since had to phone to ask for the paper work but have not yet received it.


Receptionist was very pleasant and looked after all the waiting customers very well even though she was very busy with the phones. Service reception were also very pleasant.

At no point was this issue escalated higher within Renault and for a car that has done less than 3000 miles, this should have been resolved as a matter of urgency.

I have a motability car i got this from perrys aylesbury iwas so messed about by andrew smith who did not respond to my needs or calls i cannot fault how jack etc have dealt with my service issues i will still most probably order my next vehicle elswhere but still use you for my servicing etc....

I called on Saturday appointment made for Tuesday , I asked if I could drop the car on Saturday as the alarm was going off and the battery was flat wasn't a problem my car was ready on Monday great service


Overall a good experience. One comment is that I would have liked more detailed feedback on work done as had to rely on information provided in paperwork. This was not helped by the fact I missed a call to let me know the car was ready and the person I spoke with when I called back wasn’t able to give me that information.


I was told by the service desk that my windscreen wipers would have been checked as a matter of course. Although I forgot to mention a problem with them when I took the car in, I was happy to be told they had been checked. It turns out they were not checked and still squeak on the windscreen. This is irritating, but not serious enough to leave the car for a day to havget it fixed, so I’ll leave it until the next Service.

My booking confirmation showed a time of 1300 so I was not happy when I turned up and was told the technicians were at lunch from 1300 - 1330 hours especially as I was waiting for the service to be completed.

I was not happy to be told that my MOT will take 2 hrs to complete. I was a half hour early but at my appointed time of 13h30 I noticed that half your staff went on lunch. Why give me an appointment when your staff is on lunch.

I waited in reception whilst the work was carried out and although the seating and coffee were fine, I was very cold. All staff I dealt with were pleasant and helpful.

It was great once I got my car there. My problem was my battery was totally flat and I had to do a school run immediately and was going to have issues getting my car to them to change the battery. I spoke to one person who was very rude but they then passed me to someone who was politer but still couldn't help. In the end, the AA man jump started me, followed me to the school run, followed me to all my rota drop offs and then on to watford for Renault to fix my battery. He had to jump me a few times on the way. The AA service was outstanding, however I felt that Renault let me down somewhat.

I am really pleased that I chose Renault Watford to MOT my Renault Clio. A first class service. This is my first Renault which I have owned for 18 months.I would consider buying another Renault in the future.


Would have preferred to be advised of the work (ie expenditure) needed before it was carried out (repair to a passenger seat), but was happy with the work and would have authorised it if asked.


Have built up a very good relationship with Andrew Smith and as a result he is always my point of contact when changing my car.

To my knowledge the service was carried out competently. I had timing issues due to a hospital appointment. The staff apparently tried to help but I still had to travel from Watford to Hemel Hospital and back and then back to Hemel again. This was not the fault of the staff and may be the reason the car cleaning was rushed.

Generally it was great. The only thing I was disappointed with was firstly my original appointment being cancelled when I was on my way already, and then being told that they would book it in for a two hour appointment while I wait on another day. I ended up having to wait for almost 4 hours!


There was a power outage for two days which meant that my car was stuck in the workshop; however the young lady at the service desk ( Bruna Buraco ) was brilliant and kept me fully up to date on the situation and eventually on your progress in getting the job done; she even went to the trouble of calling me on her own personal mobile when everything else was down. Please see that she is rewarded in some way for her efforts which went way beyond what could normally be expected. Bravo. Bruna, bravo Renault.

My service was part of a 3 year program i purchased with my car. My car was not cleaned on the inside to a good standard. The courtesy car we were given was very dirty on both the inside and outside.

Disappointed vechile required a second booking due to poor communication and inadequate vechile check

You pay for a service vechile comes back with incorrectly inflated tyre pressure on all 4 wheels an d told to adjust them yourself.

Great professional service, I have no complaints with the dealer, however there is a slight issue that the dealer cannot resolve as it’s a design fault which I would like to highlight (I did tell the service staff at the dealership who did advise this was a common problem stemming from design and production) which is selecting reverse gear most times I go to select reverse gear I have to select the gear twice to get the gearbox to select it, which in its self isn’t a problem just a little annoying considering the amount of money I spent on the car from new, I doubt I will get any constructive solution as this is a Renault corporation problem not a local dealership issue but at least by writing this it’s been officially recorded and dated. friendly helpful staff. Took the car in for it's 1st service on a Saturday and asked to wait while it was being done. They said no problem, made me a cup of tea and said it would be 1 1/2 hours. The work was finished in an hour. The car was not returned cleaned, however I would rather have the car back quickly rather than wait for it to be washed. the only issue I have is that I have a few niggling issues with the car, but due to their nature, software related, they can not be dealt with at Watford, so I will have to try and sort it out at a different garage, which is a bit of a pain, and as these issues do not affect the performance or safety of the car they will have to wait until I can arrange a visit to either Enfield or London.

Great Service Advisor, lovely manner and helpful. Big issue is that my car was not cleaned outside or inside. Surely this is a minimum standard for a £179 service.


I had requested a service and MOT. I understood the MOT but not so much the car service. This was the first time the car has been serviced since it has been owned by our household. Would have been nice if there was more of a visual information dump and the process explained as if I was a baby, so I could visually see what was different about the car from when it went in for the service, what happened, and how the service impacted the car.

When booking my car in for a service, the lady (I believe her name is Angela) was extremely helpful at accommodating my needs for a time that didn't interfere with my work. Angela spent time liaising with the guys in the workshop and MOT section to fit in around my timetable. <br/>I waited for my car as it was being done, waited in the reception area and did some work (marking). I could help myself to hot drinks, all staff were friendly and welcoming.


The only problem was really having to make another trip for the warrenty work. Otherwise a good experience.

The car was having its MOT test and re gassing of the air conditioning unit.Both done in a satisfactory way and possible long term maintenance was pointed out.


Very good customer services provided. Showroom could have provided better television channels instead of watching over and over again the same advertisement for Renault cars especially when one has to wait for one and a half hours for servicing to be carried out.


I brought my vehicle in for a free 25 point check (as had been suggested) due to a couple of queries and had no problems other than it was a little delayed. But this was no problem for me.

I understand that the outside of our vehicle was dirty (as it had not been used for some time), but despite you having staff to wash vehicles on site, no attempt was made to clean it. I was a little disappointed as with minimal mileage (only 300 miles over two years) on the vehicle, you literally only completed what was asked of you. Giving it a wash would have at least given the illusion that you go that extra mile.


• I was told there was possibly a slow puncture in one of the tyres - so why didn't you swap it with the spare wheel? Lazy!<br/><br/>• I telephoned Sales to pick up on the fact that we were told we could adjust our annual mileage after one year and still haven't been phoned back c.3 weeks on! Poor service!

Watford have no comprehension or ability of how to help disabled clients. There are never any automatic courtesy cars available and when you request the car is collected you are asked to pay for this service. When we purchased this car we were told that an automatic vehicle would be available for when our car was being serviced.

I purchased my car on 06/04/17 and Renault still have not paid the settlement figure on my old car. It is now 17/05/17 and I am being charged for 2 car finances. I am appalled by the service I received from Helder at Renault Watford and I would not recommend this dealership. I am very disappointed and have been left worse off. Because of this irresponsible behaviour, I have fallen behind on other bill payments. We have phoned on several occasions to confirm the settlement figure has been paid and have been lied to. I phoned the old finance company and they still have not received any payment from Renault. DO BETTER! This is disgraceful!!! Also was not offered a test drive. Salesman could not wait to take our money!

The sales team were good and polite and found me a car at a different branch at a price i was willing to pay. When the car was delivered from other branch it had scratched alloys and scratch to front. The alloys were repaired but the scratch was just touched up and can still be felt to the touch which was a shame. Also interior could have been cleaned to a higher standard as there was chocolate in the coin holder.

Purchased the following ex-demo vehicle from your dealer and really disappointed by the standard of preparation. The vehicle was presented with 4 curbed alloys, having purchased from dealers in the past I have never experienced such lack of attention. When queried with the Business Manager no resolution was given with having this rectified and simply passed over with "It is the Sales Managers final decision" - I would of understood if the vehicle was several years older however purchased as a 16 plate registration and ex-demo surely the dealership would set a standard. When queried why the dealership allowed to mistreat demonstrators in such manner? - I was told that a customer had damaged the alloys on a test-drive, does this mean that this is acceptable in your process of test-drives and loaning vehicles out, if so then this is purely pathetic accepting this level of behavior. The salesman conducted a professional manner throughout the process however I felt that the conditional sale of the vehicle should have been elaborated if the dealership incorporates a 'Sold as Seen' policy on cosmetics. I expect to have this resolved otherwise will be taking this further.

Couple of bits of feedback.. 1. Booked a test drive.. yet the car wasn't ready.. 2. Having bought the car I had to chase twice for details of when it was ready. 3. On the handover I wasn't given or shown the service log book.. 4. No idea whether I have a 2/3 year warranty and what I do to maintain it..? 5. Ironically was impressed that the sales person engaged my family in the sales process, but feel as though I was merely a transaction now.. 6. Great idea about trading in for a new car in 3 years.. but after the experience not sure that's what I want to do... but really like the car....

Front tyres should have been replaced, tread is low compared to rears. No detailed service information was supplied after service at your garage. Additional post sale information such as Condition check, History check, accident cover or pricing for Kadjar roofbars. Let me stress that we were more than happy yet again with Drew's care of us and dealing with this vehicle considering it was from a different garage. He went above and beyond and considering he no longer deals with used car sales; we appreciate him dealing with us again. Main issue is S/S does not work. It is our intention to bring the vehicle in when possible to get this checked.

The initial experience of testng the car was good and unhurried. After paying the deposit things have been not so good. Poor communu cation from Tugby - probably as he is so busy - and it was really difficult to get my questions about the state of the car answered before we took collection. You need to make sure he has staff to help him as this is still going on for us I.e there are still things that haven't been sorted that we were told would be - simple things like the car mats as wells as dents and mysterious white spots on the car that no one could explain.

I was very happy with Irten Tugba, he was very helpful during the purchase of the vehicle. The downside was the finance manager Robert Miller. Whilst Irten was on leave the car I originally enquiried about was sold to another dealer and I only found this out from the front desk. Mr miller failed to call me back on a couple of times. Irten called me the next day to apologise for the poor service I had received in Irtens absence and worked hard to find another Captur with the same spec as the 1St Captur I had enquiried about. Mr miller was also meant to email the finance papers to sign in the absence of Irten and he failed at this as well. If it wasn't for the hard work Irten put into keeping a customer happy I would have gone elsewhere. Regards

The vehicle was advertised incorrectly, the spec show was for LL29 Business+ and I was disappointed to find the features such as load through bulkhead, office, Airton and parking sensors were not on the vehicle as expected. I am considering a complaint to to the trading standards office over this as it is significantly misleading to advertise a price and spec when the spec is actually much lower. The excuse given that Autotrader was making a mistake does not seem true as the incorrect Business+ spec was also shown on the Renault website.

Watford dealership was an enjoyable experience. However, we had a bad experience with London West dealership. No follow up, no communication, bad reactivity. Basically we lost time and energy with them for 3 weeks. While with Watford, it was concluded in less than 3 days. Happy we had to do 20 miles extra to finally get the attention that a customer willing to buy deserves. Thanks.

Just to clarify, we didn't want/need finance and had done a test drive elsewhere - we made that clear (it wasn't skipped). Really pleased with car, had tried to buy previously from Renault Retail Group via Slough & Cardiff, but only Watford seemed keen enough to actually sell us one. Really great team (Andrew & Rob) Thanks.

Not a question but a comment. You need to check your Pre delivery Process. My car slipped through and was not checked before it was given to me. All fluid levels were below min and it resulted in me having to come back to have a service done. Your team dealt with it very well and the service was very good hence I would still recommend you, but you need to establish what part of the process failed to allow this to happen.

Generally good, but I clicked the "no" to recommendation button because the service booked hadn't been stamped, which we found after we got home (35 miles away). This despite asking that this be checked. And now we find that the wrong mileage has been put in the service book, and the wrong mileage on the invoice. Little errors that point to poor processes in place.

Andrew Smith has to be the best salesman I have ever had the pleasure to deal with! ! My car is amazing, and I wasn't introduced to after sales as I live an hour n half from Watford so doubt I would use it. Would defo use the sales depth again tho. Excellent

The product is good BUT service non-existent. Throughout June I chased Watford for an automatic Clio. 1/7 found one, insisted on deposit, told would be ready in 10 days. No updates at all through July, I chased several times. So frustrated that Sent email to Stephen Leete and no responce. Eventually complained to Renault UK - case number 4-00851099. Even then had to call twice daily for 4 days to get a return call from Elliott Winch. Eventually got car 1/8. Not happy with lack of communication and very poor service. Appears that Renault couldn't give a damn!

Now 23 days since we ordered and paid in full and still no car.Spoke to Alistair who told me they have at last located my car in Birmingham.He hopes to have it picked up next monday which will be day 28 if this actually happens I should have my car on day 31.I am extremely unhappy with this delay. I have lost one months interest on my savings I am expecting a spare wheel in the car when we finally pick it up and not to be told you have to order it as we agreed when we placed the order 23 days ago.

I have had to answer the first and last questions in the negative as, despite having paid for our new Captur, in full, over three weeks ago, we still have not taken delivery. The garage at Watford is unable to tell us when the car will be available or indeed where it is. Needless to say, we are not happy with the situation or the service. Quick to take our money, not so quick to provide the goods! If anyone would care to comment on our complaint, we would be please to hear from them.
