Although the dealership is in the process of renovation work it did not really effect the buying experience. Imran the salesman was very professional and helpful.


Staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcome, Jay our dealer kept in touch keeping us up todate with how everything was going with our car


I felt I was pressured into buying the vehicle whilst there was no offers on, I am aware that I missed out on an offer regarding a new registration car within a few days, therefore I assume the sales person knew that the offer was coming. I have since been informed that Renault offer a 3 year free servicing when you trade in a used Renault for a new one and I have not been offered this. I am not satisfied with service I have been given and will not be using Renault Solihull for any servicing or other needs whilst I have this vehicle.

From day one when i ordered my kadjar till collecting it, Tim Jones was very helpful and understood my needs. I had the kadjar through motability lease.


The pre-sale and handover was carried out very well by Matt Smith.<br/>The only downside, not under his control, was the moving date of delivery. Surely there could be better communication from the factory to the dealer? In modern manufacturing environments production schedules are highly planned and it's inconceivable that Renault would be any different. Pay full attention to customer expectations and make sure they are accurate and delivered without fail.

Please ask customers where they have parked to visit the showroom. We were not familiar with the area and did not see the pay to park signs outside . We incurred a ticket which did take the shine off our visit.. a small thing I know but worth a mention before dealers no with customers

Mark From Solihull Renault was brilliant, he understood the frustration I had regarding the delay of my Zoe, because this wasn't the only stress I had at the time. He was very sympathetic towards the situation but I think Renault UK need to consider all the money I put into my Citroen car in which I gave to Renault Solihull as part deposit towards my Zoe all because of the delay. Mark has kept in touch since I purchased the Renault Zoe & he is always there to help if I need it. I just hope Renault UK was doing some sort of compensation towards the delay because this caused so many issues for me.

My sales advisor, Mark Smith at Renault Shirley was absolutely fantastic. The short videos he sent me with updates on progress with my order were a great personal touch.


I did not like the hand over as it was very rushed when I have bought cars before it has been covered and a nice presentation. I apprecitate that building work is taking part on the site. I had to pick it up from a dirty car park and it felt very impersonal.


Imran Yousaf was the sales person I purchased my car from. He is a credit to your company. He supported and advised me throughout the purchase process. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the process and it was a pleasure doing business with him. I had been offered a good deal elsewhere but having met Imran I decided that it was only him that I wanted to buy my car from.

Sales person Mark was great. Did everything required, kept me informed on the date of delivery, responded to emails quickly so can't fault him. Only issue is with the arm rest which is a shame. I live in Halesowen so having to come back is a bit of an inconvenience and time consuming as it's about an 1 hour 30 mins round trip. The car is booked in now for 28th December so that will mean I have had to come back twice which is probably the best part of half a tank of petrol. Its a shame the issue was not picked up before delivery.

My car needed a new spring coil which they didn’t have in stock. I had to leave my car overnight and try and arrange a lift home & back the next day. It would’ve been nice to be offered a courtesy car whilst mine was kept in.


I thought your customer service was great, friendly and helpful people. However I was disappointed with the cleanliness of my car. I was told the car was going to be cleaned however I feel it had a very poor wash on the exterior and the inside was not cleaned.

Routine annual service was absolutely fine. <br/>However, there is some interior trim where the chrome is peeling off - surely a warranty claim, but Renault Solihull disputed this & said it would cost over £200 to replace. The interior of the car is very well looked after & the trim has not been bashed as Solihull claimed. In nearly 40 years of driving I have never had chrome flake off interior fittings, even on older cars. Please could somebody contact me to discuss.


Building work at Renault Solihull but someone was there to guide / make sure customers were able to park without problems, staff very welcoming on entering and dealt with professionally.

The showroom is in chaos because of the major building work but the service remains first class. Because of the car’s reliability I only visit annually but always receive a warm welcome. Can’t wait to see the new showroom when it is finished.


I have been a customer of RRG at the Digbeth branch for many years until its closure. Knowing some of the staff transferred to Solihull, I have taken my custom there. I have always been pleased with their attention to the work, so am equally pleased to find similar standards at Solihull. Even though there was major work going on.(building a new dealership .)I was impressed with the way the staff where working as normal and in a professional and friendly manner. I made an enquiry about making an appointment for a re-program of the emissions system ,and I was informed that if possible , they would do it in the same visit , which they did saving me having to make another appointment. The staff were very polite and tried to ensure it all went well. Loan car made availbale and all good. My car is using oil (not excessively) so they checked if there was an oil leak. They couldnt find one but no solution was discussed to resolve it. Its only done 5000 miles and I am surprised it uses oil. I think this may be a recurring problem with modern cars. The previous Japanese cars I have owned did not use oil. If someone is going to buy a Renault I would recommend Solihull branch especially when they finish the building work which must be difficult for those that work there. Regards

Car booked in for MOT. It failed on 2 counts<br/>, but Renault Solihull kept me fully informed even sending a video via e-mail to explain the faults and how they proposed to deal with them. I authorised the work. Parts were obtained and work completed in 24 hours. When I collected car on a snowy morning Suzanne Lamb the receptionist left her warm desk and came outside with me. The door lock was frozen and she readily fetched a kettle of hot water to free it. I call this going the extra mile.<br/>le.

They went out of their way to resolve the mechanical problem with my car ahead of the estimated time they gave me. <br/>My only issue is the lack of a curtesy car. Renault Shirley Solihull say they are so busy that a curtesy car is rarely available. This is a major issue for me as I am disabled and single and rarely have anyone to take and collect me to garage. This is a service that Renault say they offer but in reality can't .


I was welcomed and dealt with in a courteous and efficient way by Susanne. On collection, Susanne went through all the details of the MOT and provided advice. Altogether a painless experience!

The service was very efficient. Everything was explained on the day, although the way the insurance for the courtesy care worked was not explained in the reminder phone call prior to my visit.The work carried out on my car was fine and it came back beautifully clean, both inside and out.


The staff were very welcoming and completed their tasks to a high standard. However, I encountered a problem afterwards when I found that the coolant level (which had been changed as an additional chargeable item for the service) was low and needed topping up (about 300ml), which suggests that the engine had not been run to full temperature in order to eliminate any airlocks.

A little more expensive than I'd be able to find but worth paying as I've had a Renault for around 10 years now and have always received really good service, particularly the way I've been dealt with by 2 of the female staff working there. Communication with the customer is always excellent.


Renault Solihull is in the middle of a major refurbishment. The staff are doing their best during a very difficult time. Parking is difficult and the entrance is congested.

I came into the Renault Solihull as there was a grinding noise whenever I pressed the brake peddle. Tim Jones who has sold me my last two Renault Clio's advised it must be the brakes. I was mostly pleased, however a couple of issues disappointed. First (and of least concern), the trip counter was reset. I had been following my own mileage since collecting the car and was really disappointed it had been reset without my say-so. It's a very small issue but really quite disappointing that the technician assumed I would be happy for this to happen. Secondly, and of more concern, the automatic lights were switched off. This meant that the car operated, at night-time, with some level of front-facing light and the dials & audio/nav screen lit up but the rest of the cabin was dark. I did not notice this and was alerted to my lack of lights a few days later by another road user. The automatic lights are switched on by twisting the stalk so can't be reset during the servicing process. Very disappointing and rather worrying since I had probably covered 20+ miles in the dark between collecting the car and finding out.<br/>Finally, please don't send me a video of the person who met & dealt with my service, thanking me for my custom. I find it somewhat cringe-worthy. Just a courteous thank you at the end of my service is more than enough :) And please don't leave all the seat belts plugged in; that's simply irritating! Otherwise I am happy with my service and with the staff: they were all pleasant and courteous.

I have only scored 9 in some questions because Solihull is currently undergoing building work to rebuild the showroom. Everything needed is available such as comforting waiting areas, coffee and toilets, however some scores would probably have been ten without the building work. <br/>Also, we could have been better informed about the progress of our service. Let’s say 30-45 mins into the wait, a word just to say your car is now in the service area, we’ll keep you updated - that kind of thing. That said, we were impressed that the whole process took little over an hour. <br/>Overall, our service at Solihull was an easy pleasant experience, with friendly staff. Thank you.

The staff were attentive & helpful. The service of my vehicle & advice provided was comprehensive & helpful. However, I had to take a day off work to deliver & collect my vehicle. I had used the Birmingham Central telephone number to book my vehicle in & it wasn't until a week before the vehicle was due that I discovered that the Birmingham Central dealership was closed & the booking was with Renault Solihull. I was unable to book a later date, to facilitate a pick up & drop off service, because the MOT on the vehicle was due. This Solihull site is inconvenient & cars were double parked because of the closed off building site. I wasted a days annual leave & will re-consider buying my next care, due 2018, from a dealership that is more convenient.

Overall I receive good service. I have mobility problems and taking and collecting my car to the Renault garage is an issue. However after some insistance in my part the garage collected and returned my vehicle. The staff are always helpful, polite and my car is always cleaned on return


With the building work going on at dealership it was very difficult to find a place to park my vehicle. Once inside the dealership, though, the service adviser Tracey was very helpful.

I was happy with the work done. However, when I went to collect my car the handbrake was not on at all, it was left in gear and the steering wheel was full lock with the wheels facing a brand new car next to me. It was unnecessarily risky.

Refer to earlier 'lower'marks - were unable to carry out an update on R-Link 2 which was recommended and arranged by R-Link helpline desk, apparently Solihull's software link was firewalled. This means I have to have the upgrade carried out at a mainline dealer when I return from an extensive Euro trip in May - confusing and annoying.

An excellent experience overall. Simon and Joanne were very friendly and helpful in keeping me up to date with progress. Unfortunately, due to the extensive upgrade to the entire retail and service buildings at Renault Solihull, the available slots for taking in the car and receiving a courtesy car were delayed more than normal. Parking has always been an issue and more so while undergoing major alterations. Drove in & stopped. Vehicle washers impolite, saying to move. Went into showroom and Simon, service manager came straight out and moved it for me.


The service team spotted a conciderable amount of warranty work needed doing.<br/>They were able to provide a temporary fix to keep me on the road and book me back at a convenient futuere date.

Had just purchased another Renault Megane, (our third purchase in our household), from Renault Solihull this year. We found that the reception on the media system was not anywhere as good as on the other cars and Renault Solihull booked it in the be solved, - this was done. We also noticed two yellow circles on the roof which could not be polished out, Renault Solihull tried and could not get them out and therefore they got their specialist paint man to come in the next day and he resolved the issue to our complete satisfaction, it was thought that it may have been where something had been on the roof before sale. They kept us informed via phone calls to update us on everything and were most efficient and they are excellent with their customer service. I would recommend Renault Solihull. We have been dealing with them for many years.

I was dissatisfied with the explanation given to me. I booked the car to complaint about the mileage my wife is getting for her car. But I don't know what the service engineer did to come up with the conclusion that the mileage she id getting is a norm. Renault claims that 86 miles per gallon can be achieved on a Clio but she is only getting 55 to 60 miles to gallon. Quite a drop don't you agree. I am a design engineer and the tolerance band we work to is +/- 10% and that is the max.<br/>Basically I am or she is getting worse than her old Clio.

I waited less than 5 minutes to be dealt with by Simon.<br/>I was sent a video by the mechanic dealing with my car. <br/>I was informed by Simon when my car was ready which was before our agreed time.<br/>I would have liked the boot cleaned hence my only giving an 8 for cleanliness especially as I had emptied it!! However this s a very minor gripe.

Felt pestered by girl on Welcome desk - trying too hard<br/>Originally went to Re silt with a warranty problem, told I had to book car in for repair but when phoned to do this was told I had to book it in for a whole day for diagnostic tests. Day I took it in service reception (male) was excellent. Said they didn’t need car for a day & did the diagnostic test within the hour while I waited. He restored my faith in the Renault garage.due to needing a loan car for work I had to sit 3 weeks for the diagnostic test when if they had said it could be booked in to be done while I waited the problem could have been resolved much sooner.


During last service my car was damaged (front right lamp) also was not cleaned like usually service. I am still waiting for contact from Renault to fix it broken part but nobody get in touch with me yet. I'm very disappointed


I had help from the moment I entered the car park, which due to the building work being done, was difficult to negotiate. I was welcomed and greeted, the work done was quickly completed with a smile and a promise of help if any problems.


Upon the vehicle being returned to me I noticed it had not been cleaned properly inside. they were still dirt marks on the door frames and a dirty cloth had been used to clean the wing mirrors and the information screen inside the car. You could see the marks left by the cloth and the inside windscreen wasn't cleaned properly either. Also, I have just noticed that if you lean on the handle of the drivers door inside the car then the internal lights flicker on and off.

We bought our new car in for service as the tyre pressure on dashboard is staying on? It was not resolved as when we returned home the next day the pressure light was on again and is still on?there is obviously something wrong with one of the tyres as it is losing air and this is dangerous. My usual garage was unable to fix a handbrake issue and advised me to go to Renault but expect a large bill. I took it to Solihull and not only was the final bill a third of what I expected, my car had been cleaned! The service I received was excellent. In fact, we were so impressed with the level of service, my husband bought a Kaptur!


Possibly the only downside was, despite having iterated when booking vehicle in, that it was 6 year service, therefore cam belt change, this was not initially entered on service sheet, & entailed Renault needing to retain my car an extra day, causing a bit of inconvenience.

I am very disappointed with the pre-sale service. The windscreen wipers were stuck to the screen and considering it was raining when i collected the car I had a 150 mile home journey with stuttering drivers side windscreen wipers. The tire pressure indicators had 3 different readings on 3 different tires. A bag of some kind of bolts were left in the glove-box, and now the service due warning is showing on the on-board computer. Hardly a good preparation for releasing the vehicle, and far from an excellent standard.

Very disappointed that we never got to test drive the actual car we purchased, if we had we would have noticed the vast amount of damage /scratches to the leather interior we took it in good faith that the car was in good condition as it was only a year old, there are dents and scratches and a tear, it looks like someone has had planks of wood in the car and gravel and we found wood and gravel in several places in the car and it was supposedly valeted, the car it self drives superb but our purchase as been let down by the above, this is our first experience at Renault and as put us off returning, you don't expect a perfect car when it second hand but the damage we found it not wear and tear and the car wasn't any cheaper than others on the forecourt, we feel really deceived after spending £16000, we even noticed paint damage when we picked it up and got the salesman tony mcgarva to get it repaired whilst we waited, my husband was fuming and wanted to return it.

I had picked this specific vehicle on line & travelled from Swansea to pick it up. The sales person I dealt with was on day off but gave me another contact .both were helpful & obliging.i said at the outset I was a cash buyer & as the vehicle was going back to Wales they said any problems ( as it was still under guarantee) could be dealt with there.upon inspection at home there was no spare tyre ; I was informed this was now standard ( although there was a space for it )and an instant inflation kit was duly provided

I told Steve I was going to settle balance in full so there was no need to go through finance options. Why are cars sold without spare wheels and just issued with a tin of foam and a compressor.As once you have used the foam no tyre repairer will fix the puncture as the foam leaves some sort of residue on the tyre and reacts against any puncture repair equipment,therefore rendering a perfectly good tyre which could be repaired completely useless,this is the only thing that I find bad, which I find is happening all across the automotive industry

I originally a 16 plate pre- reg Captur. This was originally promised for delivery on 21st April. This did not happen and a further 4 delivery dates were given, none of these happened. So I bought a 65 plate Captur which was on the forecourt as I needed a car. Renault Solihull were badly let down by Renault distribution. I was let down as I wanted the 16 plate car!

Ordered the vehicle 3 weeks ago. Told delivery in 2 weeks. Despite great effort by Steve Betts Captur still not arrived. He was told delivery on 21st May. Nobody can tell when the car if or when will arrive. If Captur does not arrive by Friday 29th then I have no alternative but to cancel order, as I need a car after selling mine privately and also I have only 21 days to roll over my insurance. After this I will be disadvantaged as it will have to be a new policy which will be more cost. It appears that Renault distribution is incompetent and is letting main dealers down. Needless to say I am not happy, although this is no reflection on Renault Solihull.

Reason for no's above, bought car outright, had driven at a dealer in Bristol, didn't need aftersales department as I live in Bristol. Now not so good news, the passenger door lock was faulty upon collection and this stopped the door shutting, had to leave dealer with it faulty as I wanted to get back to Bristol. Have had to take car into Renault Bristol to fix, car should be checked over a bit better prior to handover, this has soured the experience a bit, but the car is very nice compared to my old Clio.

I am the mother of the purchaser and arranged this sale. i have owned many Renaults- savannahs, lagunas, grand scenics, scenics and clios and have obviously got much experience with Renault. so when my daughter wished to buy her first car it was natural to encourage her towards Renault. HOWEVER I am very disappointed by this sale. 1. I was advised that the car had full service history. indeed your advertising said so.Your service prior to sale is the only stamp in the service book.We asked to see the service book when we visited to inspect the car but were advised that under data protection we couldn't.! I have checked with our local renault dealer who advised that Renault recommend yearly or 18,000mile services on a 61 plate there should have been several stamps in this empty book. 2. Likewise we were informed that you had done an HPI check which you could not show us under data protection BUT you said that it would be included in the info at point of sale. we are still awaiting this.please copy it and scan it to me on this email. 3. we flagged up that the front nearside tyre looked worn. we were advised that as car about to have MOT that would be done if needed. The tyre was not changed and the car passed the MOT.on day of purchase having driven it home- a local garage mechanic friend had a look at the tyre and took measurements- he said ''only just legal''. our daughter took it to Kwik fit the following day who were most surprised that she had purchased through Renault with such a worn tyre. again ''barely legal'' was their comment. your defence will be it passed the MOT BUT the tyre was not mentioned as an advisory and REALLY selling such a car with a vvv worn tyre is not good for the image of Renault. 4. the car had one key only and i was advised that I had already been informed of this by email. I have checked through my emails and NEVER received such an email. if we had known that there was only 1 key I would have stipulated a second one be included in the purchase agreement. all in all not a good Renault experience and I am sure it is not one that you would be proud of and certainly is not one we have come to expect over the years from Renault. I have no questions but I would like to say the reasons we were not offered finance was because we specified that it was not needed. So far I can not fault the service I have received from Renault (Shirley). Your sales representative (Steve Betts) was helpful & courteous, he was open and honest about the cars we researched, we were not given the 'hard sell' which was greatly appreciated, he could not have done more and as a result I would not hesitate to buy from you again. I am delighted with the car and the one issue I had was resolved quickly, at a convenient time for me and to a standard above and beyond the norm. What I have seen of the team in Shirley so far has been excellent, we came to you because of a personal recommendation and I would not hesitate to recommend you to friends. Many Thanks
