The overall service was find, but i had difficulty getting into the dealer because of the work


I have been unable to contact the service manager to discuss the service history of car leading up to issue, despite leaving messages and assurances from counter staff of a call back.


Due to building work it wasn’t clear where to park, no directions

I bought the car in June and had to have a new battery in September which I was told was not covered by the year's warranty - that was rather disappointing! Renault Solihull was under construction and difficult to get to or park. Staff were very attentive and welcoming.

EXCELLENT, as a retired public service officer it is unique for me to offer up such high marks for service by others.


Cannot fault them. Developed a couple of issues within days of buying car. They persisted until properly diagnosed and fixed. Efficient updates very quick service. The salesperson & service department always polite & helpful. If we have had to wait to be seen given chair & offered drink.

As I have stated, I was very satisfied with the overall service I received whilst at the service centre but to make sure you keep your custom and cherish your customers it costs nothing to make contact with them within a short period of time to make sure they were happy with the customer service they received. I appreciate the showroom is in the process of construction however I was shown to the wrong place to wait for my car and the toilet had no towels or dryer although there was a wire sticking out of the wall - presumably for the drier ultimately. I had trouble locating the car park - no signage saying where to go. Servicing of the car was first class however.


from when I booked my car in for replacement seals around rear doors to picking up my car .the service team were first class


I have been loyal to Renault ever since I have started driving and have never had any problems. Quick and efficient service.

Only had to return for first MOT on one of our cars. Unfortunately could not book to wait and collect because of ongoing rebuilding work. Feel sorry for both customers and staff that these very long works have been going on so much longer than anticipated and thus proves very difficult for parking etc. Let us hope that the next time we visit these works are complete. We have as a family bought three cars from Solihull since this building work first started.

The hospitality was good, welcomed by reception straight away, a small wait to be served but that was no problem at all. However the price is quite steep and they didn’t bother cleaning my car properly when it was finished. Also outside the dealership is a mess due to building work (no fault of the staff working there)


I purchased the new car from Imran at Solihull and he was the best salesman I’ve ever dealt with. I knew what I wanted before I went in and he listened and got me the best deal possible.


My cars have been serviced for several years at Renault Solihull and I’ve always found the team to be friendly and professional.


The customer service was very good and the car was ready at the time stated.


Simon was great, swiftly booked the vehicle in and kept me informed of progress and called to let me know that the car was ready for collection.


My car had just been serviced when I booked an MOT. During the MOT my front tyres failed despite only 2 weeks earlier then being passed and I was verbally assured that they would pass the MOT. During that time I had light use of my car yet they failed the MOT. The dealer did not have the correct tyres to replace the failed ones. If I had been informed that the tyres would fail I would have sourced the correct tyres elsewhere. This always happens at this dealership. I am very dissatisfied with this experience.


I found that everybody treated me with courtesy.

I didn't realise I needed to say that I needed a waiting appointment but the assistant made sure that my car was serviced as quickly as possible so was very happy about that

I was met on arrival and booked in offered refreshments and was able to sit and wait for my car to be serviced. which allowed me to sit and complete my crossword.

OK Know better when refurb completed. Recent visits to see new cars failed, no stock in, no storage at the time. Car pick up and return worked well but get the collector to drop the shades. I'm a big fellow, for your average woman he is potentially frightening, However, note, this is not a complaint, he was good. Just need to see the eyes?


Friendly professional service from start to finish


Access to the site was a nightmare as there was a lorry delivering to the construction area. Otherwise all good.


Car parking at the garage is poor and the work is taking forever. Only disappointment is that screenwash was not refilled as it was empty. Perhaps this is expecting too much. Also we normally have a collection service but the waiting list for this was far too long in Solihull. Closure of Digbeth is having an impact.


Bought my new car at Renault Digbeth Birmingham 4years ago by cash. Always took my cars there for service etc. Have had 2 brand new Renault cars,a Modus & Captur. This branch has now closed & I have to travel to Shirley,which is several miles away. That particular branch is being extended & modernised and has been going on for over 15 months. Access & disruption to customers is awful,should not have taken this long to do this work.

Service was good in spite of building work all around.


It took 3 weeks to repair my car and with no courtesy available, I spent £500 in rental cars in that period

David (man who picked up & returned my car) was very friendly. The Lady I spoke to who booked-in my car spoke clearly and very pleseant. A man from the service dept rang me to tell me what work they had carried-out and to ask if I wanted them to change a damaged tyre, which was really friendly yet professional.

Excellent service from Sam. He was very friendly, knowledgable and gave us plenty of time to decide which car was right for us without making us feel under pressure to make a purchase

Live in Scotland, purchased car without testing. Car was delivered and was filthy inside, not what I expected. Car is great but the disappointment of the mess inside tarnished it a bit. Got it valeted and have sent bill to garage but no response yet.

I am very disappointed with the pre-sale service. The windscreen wipers were stuck to the screen and considering it was raining when i collected the car I had a 150 mile home journey with stuttering drivers side windscreen wipers. The tire pressure indicators had 3 different readings on 3 different tires. A bag of some kind of bolts were left in the glove-box, and now the service due warning is showing on the on-board computer. Hardly a good preparation for releasing the vehicle, and far from an excellent standard.

Very disappointed that we never got to test drive the actual car we purchased, if we had we would have noticed the vast amount of damage /scratches to the leather interior we took it in good faith that the car was in good condition as it was only a year old, there are dents and scratches and a tear, it looks like someone has had planks of wood in the car and gravel and we found wood and gravel in several places in the car and it was supposedly valeted, the car it self drives superb but our purchase as been let down by the above, this is our first experience at Renault and as put us off returning, you don't expect a perfect car when it second hand but the damage we found it not wear and tear and the car wasn't any cheaper than others on the forecourt, we feel really deceived after spending £16000, we even noticed paint damage when we picked it up and got the salesman tony mcgarva to get it repaired whilst we waited, my husband was fuming and wanted to return it.

Tony was absolutely fabulous. I was so happy with my purchase. I do have one problem that is now going to be a pain to sort. My names were wrong on my documents.. Tony said this would be fine they would sort it... but now even my car ownership document says Hannah Cooper... as does this email... my name is Hannah CONNOR!! Tony is a huge credit to the team and I couldn't have asked for a more polite and understanding man to help... he was a 100 out of 10 for service but this name business worries me.

I had picked this specific vehicle on line & travelled from Swansea to pick it up. The sales person I dealt with was on day off but gave me another contact .both were helpful & obliging.i said at the outset I was a cash buyer & as the vehicle was going back to Wales they said any problems ( as it was still under guarantee) could be dealt with there.upon inspection at home there was no spare tyre ; I was informed this was now standard ( although there was a space for it )and an instant inflation kit was duly provided

Hi, Before you get all excited about my answers remember the following - 1. We are a cash buyer so would not need to be offered finance. 2. We knew what we wanted to we not in need of a test drive. 3. I was sitting in an office in London, so had no need to meet and greet, we use you because Phil is honest straightforward and helpful. I told Steve I was going to settle balance in full so there was no need to go through finance options. The vehicle had remaining Honda warranty so would have dealt with my local Honda dealer than your aftersales department, plus I live 150 miles from your dealership. Steve Betts was excellent. No pressure selling, courteous, honest and professional.

The only thing i was a bit disappointed in was that when i went to view the car on Sunday it was in the compound up against the bushes in a dirty condition as i had made a appointment to view it and purchase that day would have thought it would have been bought out to view and be in a clean condition also there was still adhesive on the front bumper which i had to use turps to remove apart from that everything else was fine

Why are cars sold without spare wheels and just issued with a tin of foam and a compressor.As once you have used the foam no tyre repairer will fix the puncture as the foam leaves some sort of residue on the tyre and reacts against any puncture repair equipment,therefore rendering a perfectly good tyre which could be repaired completely useless,this is the only thing that I find bad, which I find is happening all across the automotive industry

I originally a 16 plate pre- reg Captur. This was originally promised for delivery on 21st April. This did not happen and a further 4 delivery dates were given, none of these happened. So I bought a 65 plate Captur which was on the forecourt as I needed a car. Renault Solihull were badly let down by Renault distribution. I was let down as I wanted the 16 plate car!

I travelled from Northern Ireland to purchase this car because it was much easier to do a deal with you guys than local dealers. You's where a lot better on price and actually a lot better to work with Steve was fantastic to deal with or local dealers in Northern Ireland could learn a lot from him.

Ordered the vehicle 3 weeks ago. Told delivery in 2 weeks. Despite great effort by Steve Betts Captur still not arrived. He was told delivery on 21st May. Nobody can tell when the car if or when will arrive. If Captur does not arrive by Friday 29th then I have no alternative but to cancel order, as I need a car after selling mine privately and also I have only 21 days to roll over my insurance. After this I will be disadvantaged as it will have to be a new policy which will be more cost. It appears that Renault distribution is incompetent and is letting main dealers down. Needless to say I am not happy, although this is no reflection on Renault Solihull.

the sales person was fantastic he had a good sense of humour and showed me round the vehicle which was a Renault Trafic. He explained what was what on the vehicle and set up my blue tooth. there was no need for a test drive or after sales as I live over 100 miles away. Reason for no's above, bought car outright, had driven at a dealer in Bristol, didn't need aftersales department as I live in Bristol. Now not so good news, the passenger door lock was faulty upon collection and this stopped the door shutting, had to leave dealer with it faulty as I wanted to get back to Bristol. Have had to take car into Renault Bristol to fix, car should be checked over a bit better prior to handover, this has soured the experience a bit, but the car is very nice compared to my old Clio.

My only negative has been that my finance paperwork start date was different on both sets of paperwork. My original paperwork when I bought the car was to start on 30th December but when I received the finance paperwork on Friday of last week, it was to start on 30th November not giving me much time to sort out my finances which was very annoying!

I am the mother of the purchaser and arranged this sale. i have owned many Renaults- savannahs, lagunas, grand scenics, scenics and clios and have obviously got much experience with Renault. so when my daughter wished to buy her first car it was natural to encourage her towards Renault. HOWEVER I am very disappointed by this sale. 1. I was advised that the car had full service history. indeed your advertising said so.Your service prior to sale is the only stamp in the service book.We asked to see the service book when we visited to inspect the car but were advised that under data protection we couldn't.! I have checked with our local renault dealer who advised that Renault recommend yearly or 18,000mile services on a 61 plate there should have been several stamps in this empty book. 2. Likewise we were informed that you had done an HPI check which you could not show us under data protection BUT you said that it would be included in the info at point of sale. we are still awaiting this.please copy it and scan it to me on this email. 3. we flagged up that the front nearside tyre looked worn. we were advised that as car about to have MOT that would be done if needed. The tyre was not changed and the car passed the MOT.on day of purchase having driven it home- a local garage mechanic friend had a look at the tyre and took measurements- he said ''only just legal''. our daughter took it to Kwik fit the following day who were most surprised that she had purchased through Renault with such a worn tyre. again ''barely legal'' was their comment. your defence will be it passed the MOT BUT the tyre was not mentioned as an advisory and REALLY selling such a car with a vvv worn tyre is not good for the image of Renault. 4. the car had one key only and i was advised that I had already been informed of this by email. I have checked through my emails and NEVER received such an email. if we had known that there was only 1 key I would have stipulated a second one be included in the purchase agreement. all in all not a good Renault experience and I am sure it is not one that you would be proud of and certainly is not one we have come to expect over the years from Renault. I have no questions but I would like to say the reasons we were not offered finance was because we specified that it was not needed. So far I can not fault the service I have received from Renault (Shirley). Your sales representative (Steve Betts) was helpful & courteous, he was open and honest about the cars we researched, we were not given the 'hard sell' which was greatly appreciated, he could not have done more and as a result I would not hesitate to buy from you again. I am delighted with the car and the one issue I had was resolved quickly, at a convenient time for me and to a standard above and beyond the norm. What I have seen of the team in Shirley so far has been excellent, we came to you because of a personal recommendation and I would not hesitate to recommend you to friends. Many Thanks
