Good service


All the staff were very helpful and friendly from the reception on the door , using our name togreet us to the salesman and manger and the service manager. Only issue still outstanding is the spare wheel was missing at delivery and not heard anything since


Completely sarisfied, I went to 2 Ford dealers before Renault, a million times better all round. I bought the first car James has ever sold and he was wonderful!


TIMOTHY ELDRIDGE, is the consultant that I dealt with. He went out of his way to make the purchase special. Tim, gave me a very bespoke sale. I had a few hiccups, Tim arranged, re arranged and overcome these problems. Tim, arranged a test drive some time ago, and this was why I returned to him to buy the car. It is clear thatbTim has a great understanding of what a good sale is. I think Renault are lucky to have such staff, can you pass this on to him and with him a happy festive period? THANK YOU

Tim Eldridge was really helpful on the delivery, despite some hickups as the previous person with whom we signed the purchase agreement back in July had left the company.


Our salesman Tim was more than helpful but we did not feel that a debit card payment should attract an extra percentage price.


They were helpful and friendly from the start. Quick to respond to queries and to process what I needed. Turn around for new car was exceptional. Tim kept me informed at all times. A pleasure to deal with Tim and the dealership. Would recommend and return to dealership myself.

The first time I went, it was a Monday morning and everyone seemed very busy. I was told no one was available and asked to leave my contact information. However, no one contact me the whole week! I called again and managed to make an appointment and everything went well after that. I need to emphasis that, the trainee salesperson Max Wilson has been very helpful and informative. He will make a strong contribution to the team for sure.


Ben handled the purchase my first car, and his friendly manner helped alleviate my anxiety re: my first privately owned car. This time round, both Ben and his line manager Sergio made the efforts and picked up the relationship effortlessly and in a very friendly manner. Look forward to catching up with Ben Brown in a few years for the next one!


I was really happy with the whole experience from going into the show room and being shown the different cars to ordering and taking ownership, the whole process was very fast and I've recommended them to everyone that I know. Very friendly and welcoming service.

I had arranged to collect my car on a Saturday afternoon. Due to delays I could not do this so tried to collect it on Sunday morning. Dealer did not open until 11 and even then I had to wait while they unlocked. At this point was told was only one person available, but would I wait while he did the banking as otherwise he would be "behind all day". I asked if there was anyone else available but was told other assistant was "stuck on the M25". When he arrived neither salesperson was available as one was undertaking a sale and the other said he had an appointment. I was finally seen at 11.53. The assistant was very hostile and said it was my fault for not turning up on the Saturday. The fact I had been stuck on a delayed BA flight did not impress him, although I had always said it was a possibility. I found him hostile and unpleasant and although a loyal Renault customer would not use this particular garage again. (While we were there we saw numbers of potential customers turned away because there were only two salespersons and the receptionist had to tell them there was no one available to see them) I could say more, but am running out of time.


I have had a Motorbility Renault every three years for about 18 years now and without fail the service and help from everyone in every way has been first class, from assisting me with choice of vehicle in particular.

We encountered a couple of problems but they were quickly rectifyed.


Helpful and considerate. As an elderly person, explanation of the workings of the new vehicle can be overwhelming. No criticism of the dealer, but more time could be allotted to this aspect of purchase.


The young lady that I dealt with , Rachel, was excellent . She let me do a longer test drive than most and this helped me decide upon the car. Sergio was also very helpful.

As always 1st class service. The "problem" is very tight parking but the staff happy to get the car out of the parking space if their help is required. the


Warning message re tyre pressure appeared a few days after routine service. Unsure of car safety so drove to Service Centre informed it was a computer error and was shown how to reset error message. Slightly concerned however as to trusting computer messages in future!

There is nowhere to park when you drop vehicle off if it is before they open. When picking it up they gave me my keys and I had to find the car in the car park. They offered to clean the car and the car was not cleaned at all.

All went fine. Car went in for an MOT and 5 year service. Only problem was the car was washed and there was water inside on the passenger sill and foot well were I guess the car had been spray washed and the passenger door had not been closed correctly.

The problem happened the weekend before Christmas. I rang Renault Orpington the first day they were open. Although they couldn't book me in til 4/1, as I was going away, they agreed I could bring it in that day. They said if they got a moment they would look at the fault earlier. They did this, contacted me, ordered the part, kept me informed and I collected it on 2/1. Everyone was very helpful.

I was greeted by Alan and he talked me through the whole process that would be taking place that day. In my opinion Alan is outstanding when dealing with customers, he is polite and considerate when explaining details to customers, He is not at all patronising and doesn't talk to you as though you are just another customer but as though you are the ONLY customer. He also engaged with my son which during the drive home provoked my son to comment "he's really cool isn't he daddy" I had to agree. Good work Alan and thank you Renault Orpington.

I took my new car in for a new radio and a routine service. The car came back on time, clean and working better than before. The staff were so kind and even offered us a coffee/tea while they brought the car around the front. Excellent service and made us feel valued.

In general v helpful with the exception of one employee who was both rude & dismissive and completely uninformed about the problem we were having. I only had one telephone conversation with him. The gentleman that dealt with the problem for the majority of the time was the complete opposite and took the time to explain the problem & the process.

I think that this is a good garage; the staff are helpful and friendly and the work on the vehicle is done well. My only issue is that the site is extremely congested with other vehicles so it can be very difficult to park for servicing or to visit to view the new cars on display.

The scheduled service was fine and customer service on the day was fine. However follow up support has been dreadful and pretty much non-existent. I keep getting asked for customer feedback by various individuals and I keep getting promises that someone will contact me about the outstanding work required on my car, but I have heard nothing.


I was happy with the customer service, I was updated on the progress and dealt with quickly when I was in the showroom.


They are very helpful, do what is required and are extremely friedly. As a family we have 3 renault cars the they have serviced and repaired for about 10 years and we would not keep using them if we were not completly satisfied.

Every time I liaise with Renault Orpington they confuse my service plan details and call me to say I haven't got one. I then have to go over the same conversation every time to get them to check records and realise I do have a service plan - very frustrating when each time it happens I'm told it definately won't happen again


Renault Croydon (not orpington) - lady who took the car in from me was very good, very friendly and managed to find me a courtesy car despite one not being booked in (although I had requested one). Otherwise very poor, did not fix the problem I brought it in for and managed to scratch the car whilst carrying out call-back work (nb scratch was subsequently fixed).

I have been visiting Renault Orpington for the past 25years and replace my Renault every 3years which shows just how I value having a local dealership I can trust. Only reservation is serious shortage of dedicated service customer parking. This seems to be due to the huge number of new vehicles taking up these spaces.

Had issue with Tyre pressure sensor. Was booked in after about 3 weeks. After waiting an hour for them to start looking i was told there is a tyre pressure sensor fault. NO stock!. Had to go back a 2 weeks late. After an hour the vehicle was ready to collect. Then i was told they didn't replace the sensor it had come loose so it was just re-secured. So this was never looked at in the first place. Then a moth later had a service which was fine. Then got a phone call two weeks ago saying they had my sensor now in stock and when would i like it fitted!


Usually very difficult to find a parking space, and cars parked so close together it is difficult to get in or out of the car, and difficult to manoeuvre around the site. Communication about the progress of the repair is generally poor - has to be chased.


Although booking online gave me a appointment of 1oc pm lunchtime Orpington informed us, they did their best to make sure our car received immediate attention when they returned.

Car came in for service but is out of kilter with normal service mileage. (Purchased at 8000miles.) Orpington adapted the service to change both fuel and air filters 4000 mile early at my request.

Great service from the initial call to book the car in to your final pickup. Everything was efficiently done with friendly staff.


Firstly, Renault did not offer us a replacement maintenance plan when the 3yr plan ran out. So we had to pay for the latest service - which was fine. Secondly, we had at previous services complained about a creaking from the front n/s. Renault Orpington claimed to not find anything whilst under warranty. Now they've found it and the broken spring coil was rusty proving it was broken for some time. They wanted £328 to replace it and £150 to do the brake pads. They also said we should replace the PAIR of spring coils at a cost of over £640! I took the car away and had the work done at my local garage for £268.50 which included an MOT. All parts came from the Renault dealer in Beckenham -£56 for the coil spring and £40 for the brake pads. How does Orpington justify £328 for labour and parts when the part is only £56? How do they justify £150 for labour and parts for the brake pads when the parts are £40? I feel it is disgraceful that getting your car fixed in a min dealer is so expensive and exploitative. What compensation will you offer us for not finding the fault under warranty? Thanks


Always very stressful trying to get into the parking area and finding a space. MOT and service went fine but I still have a problem that I reported with one of the rear passenger doors which they could not find on the day. I don't have any time to go back with the car at present.

I was happy with the repair carried out by Renault an Orpington but very unhappy having to pay for the repair. The build quietly of the car is poor and I believe the repair should have been carried out under warranty. Renault will be hard pushed the get me to buy another car at the end of my contract. I'm not happy with the shoddy build of the vehicle.


On arrival the staff were friendly, helpful & told me what they would be doing & roughly how long they would need the car. When I picked the car up at the time they said it would be ready they expained what they had done. Very good overall experience, will be back.

It was the first service for this vehicle and i have to have it to satisfy the warranty conditions but I feel it is a waste of time service and I paid dearly for it, I feel that I had the pollen changed and the car cleared for £150.00. I feel ripped off.

When I arrived I had trouble parking. I asked at reception if I could take the car straight to the service area. I couldnt and after walking around the car park I was advised by the reception lady to wait where the car was and she would check and come back to me. After waiting for about 6 or 7 mins I went back inside to the same lady and asked if she had managed to speak to anyone. She looked at me and told me I need to go to the service desk so it seemed that she hadnt completely forgotten about me and by that point I was late for the service.

The staff on the service desk helped me to book the service in the first place (cancelling the booking I made online that was incorrect). They welcomed me on the day of the service, explained everything clearly and kept me informed of progress. Finally, when I collected the car, they took me to it and explained what had been done. I was told the service would take an hour, so I did not request a loan car, but the service took about 1 hour 45 minutes, and a loan car would have been the better choice.

Arriving at 8am although there is visitor bays they are always full of cars which I don't believe are customer cars. I drove round three times before basically dumping my vehicle on a corner of a side road. Despite remarking on this the attitude was it's always the same. Just park it anywhere. If I had done that it would have blocked the exit route.


Car was taken in for a Renault re-call. This next comment applies to all garages - not just Renault; while us customers are sitting around in the showroom waiting to collect our cars, why do the sales people not wander over and ask if we are thinking of changing our vehicle? We are a captive audience and may well be thinking of changing.

I ACCIDENTALLY JUST BOOKED IN FOR AN MOT FORGETTING THE SER ICE. WHEN I CALLED TO CHANGE THIS THEY WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING.


My only comment was that I was told I would get a cash wash but this didn't happen - it was even mentioned on the final receipt.

I took my Renault van into Orpingtion as had warning lights on dashboard. I received a video of underneath of van which showed rubber pipes and censer had been chewed by a rodent (fox). When I asked what I can do to stop this happening again the reply was that some people put wire mesh underneath!!! I've looked into this and apparently the rubber pipes are made from animal fat which attracts rodents (fox)

Good service, although courtesy car had barely any fuel in it, so I was straight into getting petrol station! Also vehicle needs a new air vent on warranty but I have not heard anything as yet. My vehicle went in on 6 October.


This visit was for replacement light sensor that was agreed at the third time of asking. I had previously reported a fault but this we dismissed twice as being invalid as the computer showed NO FAULT. I can't be too grateful that a long standing problem was finally fixed

David was very friendly and reassuring when taking my car. Not sure if tyres were typed up to correct pressure. All auto controls werer changed and ididn't realise iwad driving with no lights.


In general the service I've received has been great. The only reason that I marked the previous question lower that would be expected, was that parking is almost always a problem as space is very restricted.

For the second time I requested method of locking my car but turning the internal air pressure alarm off(So we can leave the dog in the locked car without the alarm going off) On picking up the car I was told with an offhand shrug that nobody new how "but thats what you expected"

Lacking in a customer parking area


No problem with service, but felt let down by 4 year service plan as having reached date/mileage for third service, discovered that I would need to pay for this service as my mileage was 54,000 which equates to a third service, and the maximum mileage is apparently 48,000. This in effect means that you can only ever get 2 services out of the plan if you have car serviced every 18,000 notified by on-board computer.


When l went for my service l told the guy at the service desk l have had trouble with my n s f tyre he said he would have a look for me unfortunately l didn't bring the tools with me to get the tyre off that was my fault. But when l got home l phoned a tyre company and he came and did it for me .He also checked all my tyre pressure and every one was different . So at the Renault service they didn't check my tyre pressure so wasn't very happy about that


I ordered parts for fitting which was fine. When parts arrived I spoke with a lady in the parts department and asked if she could help book my car in for the parts to be fitted. This was too much effort on her part. In the end I had to ring the garage again to be out through to the fitters and book the slot myself. On the day of fitting I had to pay for the parts in one part of the garage and pay for the fitting in a separate transaction. This experience felt like it was not very joined up and no one willing to take ownership of the customer. Also (unrelated) who does this garage not offer servicing on Saturdays. No matter what dealer I have bought a car from in the past Saturday opening has never been an issue but at Orpington it does not happen and I think Renault miss out on more sales because of this.


The staff that greeted me were very courteous and informed me that my car would be ready early afternoon which it was.

As I have already logged with the follow-up service call, I booked my car for a sit and wait service so was disappointed this hadn't been recorded on the booking in sheet and I was told the car wouldn't be ready until the end of the day. The dealership is an hour from home by public transport so having to leave it and go back later meant I had to cancel the plans I had for the day.


The experience was great but the service questionnaires are over the top. This is the third one I have been asked to do - one on the day, one from a survey company (I think) and now this one. One would have done!

I have been a customer of this brand for many years now and have always found them to be very helpful and friendly. Darren is always friendly and helpful as is another member called Jaz ? There is Mark on the service desk again who is also pleasant and friendly

I bought a Renault partly due to the garage being 12 minutes walk from my house and partly due to experiencing a Renault hire car. The overall experience is better than that of having our VW dealt with by a main dealer.


The centre console where the data access port is accessed by the engineer is not put back correctly the engineer told me that the issue I had with the stereo is my issue, this is not the case as when the Traffic Announcement kicks in and I turn up the volume I still don't hear a traffic announcement, if I disable traffic announcements they still cut in, when I am on the phone and a traffic announcement kicks in it mutes the caller. this should not happen. they could not do the system upgrade as they said they needed the other car key, but never asked for the key.

Booking was a problem. The service from when my car was dropped off to collection was smooth


I was told that my car could take most of the day to have the emissions alteration done on the cars computer. it said on the letter that it would only take about an hour or just over to adjust the computer, after the engine had cooled down. My car was booked in for 9.30am so I was a bit bewildered being told that it could take most of the day. Luckily it was completed by about mid-day & I was still in the shopping area of Orpington with my wife when I phoned Renault Orpington to find out that it was ready (they were supposed to phone me!). The point is my wife & I could have returned to our home in Lewisham by public transport then have to make the return journey later which would have all been unnecessary. We are several miles away from the dealership. I did ask if they would give my car a clean & was told that they wipe the exterior over, sadly it wasn't done? I didn't make a fuss about it, I would have willingly paid for it to be washed & groomed, but was a little dismayed about it not being done. They may not have had time to do the clean due to how many cars were being serviced on the day. It's only a minor point I am making, but customer satisfaction is what this survey is all about!

I have used Renault Orpington since I bought my car from new in 2006. I have always been very satisfied with results. I believe that using the services of a main dealer and the engineers and mechanics based at Renault Orpington should provide me with an expectation of the best attention to my car so that I may continue to drive safely with a well looked after car.

When I purchased my car in January 2017, the manager in Orpington branch was not empathic and I was dissatisfied with their customer service. Following my complaint, the customer service was poor and they were not able to resolve the issue/s I have raised with them regarding the Stop/start mechanism. The mechanic whose name was Mark, I didn't/t feel that I was listened to.With my recent visit, the work that Renault Orpington completed was not explained properly nor provided any documents. In addition, we asked whether we could change the alloy but I was told it was not possible but did not give any alternative suggestion.


The service, as usual, was carried out expeditiously and well within the time frame indicated before they started. I was most impressed that they found I had a slow puncture to the nearside rear tyre, and they indicated that it should be repairable, but this was not a service they could provide. I consequently took it to another firm and had the puncture repaired the same day at minimal cost. All in all, once again, I have received the very best of service from Renault Orpington from the friendly and efficient staff there, and I shall be very happy to continue with my service agreement contract with them.


I'm very disappointed in the customer service at Renault Orpington. I booked a courtesy vehicle, which was stated on my booking confirmation. I phoned Renault Orpington the day before my service to check what times i could drop off/collect so I could get to work on time, and to check if I had to pay for my courtesy vehicle. The man I spoke to was very rude, interrupted me and often didn't listen to what I was saying or asking him. He made me sound like I was a complete idiot for thinking I had a courtesy vehicle booked. According to him, no vehicle was booked even though I had my booking confirmation open in front of me, which said I had one booked, and no one had told me otherwise after booking. He then went on to say that I had only booked a week or so before my service and that no courtesy vehicle would have been available at that short notice anyway. If that was the case, I shouldn't have been able to book one in the first place. I booked online, so maybe the system needs to be looked at. If I hadn't phoned up the day before my service, I would have driven to Orpington under the assumption I would have a courtesy vehicle, so I would have been left stranded. Not happy. I have no concerns about the work done on my vehicle, although I don't particularly like what has be done to my wipers (due to a recall) as they now seem to sit further up my windscreen. But the customer service was appalling and I will not be using Renault Orpington again.

I have a problem with my vehicles auto gearbox. However I am not confident that the dealer will be capable of resolving the issue as they appear to be ok at standard routine maintenance but not skilled enough at diagnostics and identifying issues through investigation.


My experience of Honda bike dealerships is superior to my Renault experience. I was not given a time when the work would be done Though it was quick in the end. I am used to being offered a courtesy vehicle and having mine cleaned before it is returned to me

After picking up the vehicle and when I got home I felt the clutch to be very high in the pedal, and in my laymans experience thought the clutch was ending its life span.I discussed this with the sales agent on that day. (Last Saturday) and he informed me a engineer would call me to discuss this. As of today's date I have yet to receive a call. Also now the engine management system light has come on. I do feel on a vehicle that is only a couple of years old and has just had all its checks prior to handover should not be happening so soon. I am away on holiday now, but could somebody please reply by email a suitible time for the car to be collected and addressed please. Thank you Nigel Born.

The car had some scuff and something stuck to the door handle. A new part was being ordered but I have not been notified about when it will be fitted.I also have questioned for the second time,the breaks feeling not has sharp as I think they should be. This makes me think they are worn down a bit. The previous Renault employee who drove the car may have been heavy on the breaks. I would like assurances on this. Other than that the car is very enjoyable to drive. Salesman David was very good and fair. I look forward to the couple of points I have raised being sorted. Thank you!

Martin Moore sold me my Kadjar. He was fantastic. He was not in the least bit pushy, he put me at rest, reassured me that no question was too silly. I came to the show room to have a quick look at the Dusters as I was thinking that it might be time to start thinking about buying a new car in a few months time. I came out with the first Kadjar that I looked at. Martin is obviously a very good salesman! He sorted out the finance for me and made it seem as if nothing was too much trouble. When checking the pressures I found that they were all at 40psi. I believe the cars come from the manufacturers over inflated, and this should have been picked up during the pre delivery inspection.

The vehicle had a scratch to the front grill which has been badly touched up, also it was covers in white clay underneath where it obviously had been in a field, I had to take it & get it jet washed properly , I think the vehicle should of been checked for these problems before hand over as I now have to return the vehicle to have a smart repair done, for this to happen on a new car I think is very below par !!!

Although I wasn't introduced to the after sales team we discussed service and maintence and I was happy. Generally an excellent experience and David was fantastic. Plenty of time given and everything explained exceptionally well. 10 out of 10 (and I don't ever say that). I am extremely disappointed with the after care service I have had. Hardly had the car anytime at all and had two faults. On both occasions I have found the service awful and mislead about what's happening to my car. Been told twice they would "wash and clean" as they were trying to compensate for having issues, neither time this was done. Also on both occasions u was told I would need to pay if I wanted a courtsey car, given its a BRAND new car and there are two faults existing on it I found this appalling. Would not recommend and I am very glad I did not purchase any of those aftercare packages as I would not want to be tied into this dealership. Seriously considering having to sell or return this car if there are any more faults as I have had to lose a days pay today to be able to drop it off.

When I received the car, the wheel arches were covered in what can only be described as a white cement/filler like substance. To my dismay this was also smeared on the bodywork on the back bumper paintwork and both drivers side wheel arch paintwork. It has taken me all weekend to carefully try and remove the substance without damaging the paintwork which has been difficult. I was also promised that the car would be driven up on a trailer, not by someone driving it up and putting 200 miles on the car. What was this substance that my car was covered in? did it leave the dealership looking like that??

Sorry the first form I submitted was incorrect as we were offered finance but it was not relevant as we payed cash. Also your branch is approx 60 miles from us so we would use a closer branch for after sales. However we had need to return to the branch to have a cosmetic dash part replaced and David Rowe handled the problem in an excellent manner providing fuel compensation for the journey.

The answer to your first question is difficult to answer. I like my Clio greatly but have to say am somewhat disappointed how a particular matter was dealt with by the dealership. I bought the car from Timothy Eldridge who assured me before I purchased the vehicle that there had only been 1 previous owner - namely the Renault garage in Orpington. I agreed to purchase the car on this basis. When my V5C document arrived it clearly stated that there had been 2 previous owners before me. When I contacted Mr Eldridge re. this he was surprised. After a considerable time he came back to me and stated it was some sort of error on their part with re-taxing the car. I am still confused re. this as you don't re-register the car to re tax it. I pointed out that I felt I had been misled by him re. this issue and that any assurance he gave me was actually worthless if the official documentation from the DVLA stated otherwise. To this end I then contacted the DVLA myself to understand the keeper history of my car as I felt this was the only way to get to the truth. After much form filling and making a payment to access this information from the DVLA they themselves issued me with a replacement V5C. I feel that Mr Eldridge misinformed me from the outset and then didn't deal with the matter to an effective resolution. I regard this as poor customer service as the 'error' was with Renault and not with me. It is on this basis that I would not recommend the Orpington dealership to a friend. Grateful for your response re. this matter.

The only thing I was not sure about ie the Service book /Log. I can`t find a service book. However there is some pages inside the actual owners manual. Would you kindly let me know if those pages form the actual Log book. Thank you. Also I was rather dissapointed that there was a small knock in the paintwork which was not visible when we looked over the car. To be fair you had only got the car in that morning and it was filthy dirty. We only saw it when we came to pick it up It is on the Passenger door on the Drivers side. The car is fantastic we are delighted with the spec of the car the equipment and fittings inside are first class.It just put a bit of a damper on the occasion buying a car that is only 4/5 months old. I would ecpect the odd knock on a second hand car but that is a place I would not expect to find one.

It took 4 weeks before this vehicle (which I love) to be delivered to Orpington. Although Martin was extremely helpful - we were let down by management. We were told repeatedly that the car was on it's way - only for management to fail to deliver the right information. We were lied to time and time again. My car was then delivered from Southampton to Manchester when Martin asked for it to be delivered to Orpington - but no one was listening. Very poor service on management. I have no problem with all the help that Martin gave us.
