Rachel Costen was an absolute star who stood out in sea of mediocre car sales people from other brands and another Renault Dealer. Clear system for booking in and handing over. Quick service. I would however question the recommendations I received on collection following my annual service as the car had only had and passed an independent MOT 2 weeks before hand yet the service technician reported it needed a passenger off side drive shaft replacement as the gaiter has split so leaking grease. It was suggested I get the gaiter repaired / replaced. Both parts are estimated cost of over œ340 each. The car is only 4 years old plus surely it shouldn't need a new drive shaft? Neither of these were picked up in the MOT I had done. Not sure if I trust this information is correct.

I too my car in because of a recall on the windscreen motors. It turned out the brake pads had worn down at the front so needed replacing which meant I had to pay out s lot of money but had a safer drive.

The service was excellent but my only negative is that you were unable to fit a new tyre because your machine was out of action. I was concerned because I suspected a couple of tyres were worn and would fail an MOT requiring me to make a second appointment. The guy on reception was a bit off-hand about my concern and didn't respond when I asked if they would take it to a nearby tyre centre if needed. Fortunately the tyres passed the MOT.

for a start, they returned the vehicle with no receipt for the service carried out, the car was not cleaned inside, the seat adjustment was left by the return driver as he had adjusted it. also the fault I stated was not found, which was the throttle has a mind of its own, not a good point when you are in slow traffic!

Parking is always an issue. I was disappointed having dropped my car off at 8 the car wasn't looked at until 9. I had booked my service in well in advance and it was known that I had a service plan but agreement wasn't sought until 830 that morning. It should have been approved prior to me taking in the car. But staff are very friendly and there is a nice coffee waiting area.

The original problems:- hazard warning lights kept flashing. Car in on Friday nine days later, over two weekends, car returned. First electrical component found to be defective another obtained and fitted. I appreciated the difficulty and suggested contacting Renault in France for advice as I felt sure I was not the only person to have experienced this problem. Told not possible.

The vehicle was cared for fine, no problems there. But it took us a very long time to book an appointment under what we believed was the service plan only to discover that we actually had to pay over œ150 for a basic service. The staff in the garage were very non-chalant and dismissive. Parking at the garage was impossible, we were basically told to abandon the car in the middle of the road as there was very poor signage and no parking spaces at all. We received the footage of the service check and it was approximately 8 seconds where the technician showed an unclear shot of beneath the bonnet. We can get just as good service for less than half the price at any local dealer.

I originally purchased a 15 plate Clio, I wasn't given enough background history on the car except that It was previously a loan car. It soon came to light that the car had several problems not only with the engine but also the bodywork had been sprayed a different colour on the passenger door and front wing! The car was eventually changed for a later model Clio for an extra payment. I now LOVE my Clio.

I booked via Tel and received email confirmation. Nobody turned up on the day for hours. I was later called to say there was a confusion as this it not handed over or recorded on the syatem. They offered another day but I refused as my husnand had alreadt taken the morning off waiting for them. Car was eventually picked for servicing and when I rang to pay, I was given conflicting imformation as to whether my car required MOT at 3yrs or not. Car was returned dirtier than it was with the excuse that it was not cleaned because the weather was too hot for guy/cleaner. I had requested for the car to be picked from and returned to my place of work at Lewisham Hosp, which is closer to the workshop but they declined so my husband had to take the morning off.

The work itself was very goog. The collection and return of vehicle by driver was really good. BUT, the booking arrangemnents were appalling. The Workshop secretary (?) was abrupt, very unhelpful, curt, did not listen. If the Warning Light comes on in the Car, it is surely not pertinent to have to wait 4 weeks for the car to be seen! It might have been a serious problem - bad enough for anyone, and disastrous for a disabled person! It is very unlikely thast I will come to Renault Orpington for my new Motability Car in May next year: I shall oprobably return to Citroen in Lee! What a pity - I loke Renaults - have had 3 from you, but I hate to be treated so rudely by impatien and incompetent staff.

I could not drive the car to Orpington for MOT. THEYcollected and returned it for a modest fee. Although it initially failed MOT due to missing rear indicator light, they managed to fix it and still get car back to me same day. They did other things also (for a charge) whilst car was with them. My husband had just died, and they went out of their way to make sure I had no extra stresses arising from the car.

The fault light indicated the vehicle needed to go to the garage. It took two weeks to get an appointment. We had a budget price before the car was delivered to the garage on Tuesday at 0800. That afternoon we were told it would need it would further checks and authorisation was given. This resulted in the need for parts we said that we must have the car back by Friday and authorised the work. Friday afternoon we had to chase progress and eventually we received a call that we could collect at 1730. The garage appeared to have too much work or not enough staff

find it hard to understand that at the last mot, 11 months before, the car passed with no observations at all and then only 3 thousand miles later it failed with several major problems which would have ended in a bill for approx two thousand pounds inc vat etc,etc, twice what the car is worth. was told well the car is 11 years old, so are renaults only expected to survive for eleven years or less. of course the car was scrapped and will not be replaced with another renault because of the short life span commented on by your staff.

I buy a automatic car from you but yet when I put my car in with a electrical fault shortly after our handing it I might add, you do not provide automatic courtesy cars and if I wanted this I would have to go through a external company with ridicuols excess charge if something was to happen to it. Also my car was returned filthy and my tacking had not been right since I purchased the car told them 2 months later that it drastically pulls to the side if I let go of the wheel and she said to me it's not there fault and wanted to charge me for it. So to summarise I payed a lot for a car with poor electrics and that if you let go for 2 seconds of the steering wheel u will crash.

Also they didn't want to go to see me car which was parked outside in the car park because it was raining. After this i picked up the car it had been clean but not don't well, it was a horrible experience I had to deal with after being sold the car by a brilliant sales man with excellent customer service!

The car was sent away for a repair to a scratched alloy wheel. Almost immediately after collecting a message flashed up to check tyre pressure sensors. The problem was quickly resolved by Renault Orpington and identified as the original repair garage having replaced my sensor with a standard valve. The team at orpington fixed this issue quickly and kept me updated. Would definitely recommend.

Bad points: - very limited availability of on-site parking for service customers gives impression that they are not considered important; - air con left switched on after service (fortunately noticed on journey home otherwise fuel wasted); - scratch subsequently noticed on tailgate paintwork (not reported as impossible to prove it happed at dealership); - engine ran very poorly for 1st few miles after collection whereas it was running perfectly prior to servicing; Good points: - car completed when requested the following day (but could not be done while I waited on day 1 even though booked in early at 08:10); - customer facing staff pleasant; - oil/filter change resulted in engine oil level on MAX mark rather than being overfilled as is very common in some Renault dealerships;

I have not managed to contact the dealer yet but since my service, five days later the service light has come in meaning that I have to take time out of my day while trying to organise to move house to return to Renault to get the service light reset, this should have been do at the time of service. In addition what is the point of vacuuming inside the car if it is not going to be dusted? As I had to give it a proper clean afterwards. The people on the service desk were very helpful and kept in good communication regarding updating me on my car.

the staff were very helpful as I had my disabled husband with me, and there was no disable parking bay available, I parked right out side the front door and while I was getting my husband into the showroom a member of staff took my car into the work shop. My car broke down approximately one mile from the garage. I called to ask if I could bring it in for repair, I was in no hurry and happy to leave it there. They said that they were very busy and it would be at least two weeks before they could deal with it. I then rang the Renault warranty team who sent out the RAC. He looked at it and could not repair it. After some phone calls he managed to persuade Renault Orpington that they had to take it in. I delivered it there, four hours later than I could have done and at the cost to someone of a wasted RAC visit. They actually dealt with it in three days. The response I received originally was very poor. The eventual service was good.

The only problem I encountered was when I arrived there was absolutely nowhere to park the car, and it was very tight trying to find a parking space, there wasn't one, then I asked someone who said there is a car parking attendant, he took my car but as I said there was absolutely nowhere for it to go and when I went out to pick up the car is was parked extremely closely to a large van, literally about an inch away from it. I wasn't happy about that.

Went for service and cam belt quoted at œ699.00 to be told water pump would be extra œ180.00 . Had already been quoted by 2 other garages for the cam including the water pump for œ770.00 and told the pump should always be changed when cam is. One of these garages is a Renault dealer also. After telling jazz I would take the car elsewhere they agreed to the price but contacted me with over 2000 pounds of other work that needed to be done. I am having the car inspected next week and we will see how much of this work needs to be done and the cost should be interesting.

When I took my car in for service I was happy for the service I have received. I have been using Renault Orpington since 2003. Altogether, I bought 3 cars. I bought my previous car (Clio) through finance. I was happy and stress free therefore when the contract was ended I bought another new car (Captur). I was surprised and disappointed that I had to take my car in for ONE YEAR service and PAID for it. I don't understand as I bought the BRAND NEW car at Renault Orpington. That should be part of the package. With my previous car (Clio) I did not pay. It was explained to me that it has changed. My brand new car (Captur) only done 6k+ miles. I was telling all my friends to go to Renault and get a brand new car - new car no hassle!!! I asked around and not one person told me that they have to pay for service. Unfortunately, I still have to wait for 3 years to change my car and maybe time to leave Renault.

My Scenic was booked in for the MOT at the same time as the annual service. Very quickly the department phoned to in let me know about a problem with a broken rear spring. It was clearly explained to me about the cost and how long it would take to get it replaced. Then they arranged for a lift home for my wife and myself and next day our Scenic was delivered back by a very pleasant, friendly driver all repaired and cleaned . Although a very expensive experience it was made as pleasant as possible.

After picking up the vehicle and when I got home I felt the clutch to be very high in the pedal, and in my laymans experience thought the clutch was ending its life span.I discussed this with the sales agent on that day. (Last Saturday) and he informed me a engineer would call me to discuss this. As of today's date I have yet to receive a call. Also now the engine management system light has come on. I do feel on a vehicle that is only a couple of years old and has just had all its checks prior to handover should not be happening so soon. The car had some scuff and something stuck to the door handle. A new part was being ordered but I have not been notified about when it will be fitted.I also have questioned for the second time,the breaks feeling not has sharp as I think they should be. This makes me think they are worn down a bit. The previous Renault employee who drove the car may have been heavy on the breaks. I would like assurances on this. Other than that the car is very enjoyable to drive. Salesman David was very good and fair. I look forward to the couple of points I have raised being sorted. Thank you!

When checking the pressures I found that they were all at 40psi. I believe the cars come from the manufacturers over inflated, and this should have been picked up during the pre delivery inspection.

The vehicle had a scratch to the front grill which has been badly touched up, also it was covers in white clay underneath where it obviously had been in a field, I had to take it & get it jet washed properly , I think the vehicle should of been checked for these problems before hand over as I now have to return the vehicle to have a smart repair done, for this to happen on a new car I think is very below par !!!

No. With regard to finance I made it clear from the start that I was paying cash and didn't want finance so there was no point offering it. Although I wasn't introduced to the after sales team we discussed service and maintence and I was happy. Generally an excellent experience and David was fantastic. Plenty of time given and everything explained exceptionally well. 10 out of 10 (and I don't ever say that). I also don't normally answer these surveys and have only done so on this occasion because I was so pleased with the service provided

I am extremely disappointed with the after care service I have had. Hardly had the car anytime at all and had two faults. On both occasions I have found the service awful and mislead about what's happening to my car. Been told twice they would "wash and clean" as they were trying to compensate for having issues, neither time this was done. Also on both occasions u was told I would need to pay if I wanted a courtsey car, given its a BRAND new car and there are two faults existing on it I found this appalling. Would not recommend and I am very glad I did not purchase any of those aftercare packages as I would not want to be tied into this dealership. Seriously considering having to sell or return this car if there are any more faults as I have had to lose a days pay today to be able to drop it off.

When I received the car, the wheel arches were covered in what can only be described as a white cement/filler like substance. To my dismay this was also smeared on the bodywork on the back bumper paintwork and both drivers side wheel arch paintwork. It has taken me all weekend to carefully try and remove the substance without damaging the paintwork which has been difficult. I was also promised that the car would be driven up on a trailer, not by someone driving it up and putting 200 miles on the car. However we had need to return to the branch to have a cosmetic dash part replaced and David Rowe handled the problem in an excellent manner providing fuel compensation for the journey.

The answer to your first question is difficult to answer. I like my Clio greatly but have to say am somewhat disappointed how a particular matter was dealt with by the dealership. I bought the car from Timothy Eldridge who assured me before I purchased the vehicle that there had only been 1 previous owner - namely the Renault garage in Orpington. I agreed to purchase the car on this basis. When my V5C document arrived it clearly stated that there had been 2 previous owners before me. When I contacted Mr Eldridge re. this he was surprised. After a considerable time he came back to me and stated it was some sort of error on their part with re-taxing the car. I am still confused re. this as you don't re-register the car to re tax it. I pointed out that I felt I had been misled by him re. this issue and that any assurance he gave me was actually worthless if the official documentation from the DVLA stated otherwise. To this end I then contacted the DVLA myself to understand the keeper history of my car as I felt this was the only way to get to the truth. After much form filling and making a payment to access this information from the DVLA they themselves issued me with a replacement V5C. I feel that Mr Eldridge misinformed me from the outset and then didn't deal with the matter to an effective resolution. I regard this as poor customer service as the 'error' was with Renault and not with me. It is on this basis that I would not recommend the Orpington dealership to a friend. Grateful for your response re. this matter.

Bad customer service . The only thing I was not sure about ie the Service book /Log. I can`t find a service book. However there is some pages inside the actual owners manual. Would you kindly let me know if those pages form the actual Log book. Thank you. Also I was rather dissapointed that there was a small knock in the paintwork which was not visible when we looked over the car. To be fair you had only got the car in that morning and it was filthy dirty. We only saw it when we came to pick it up It is on the Passenger door on the Drivers side. The car is fantastic we are delighted with the spec of the car the equipment and fittings inside are first class.It just put a bit of a damper on the occasion buying a car that is only 4/5 months old. I would ecpect the odd knock on a second hand car but that is a place I would not expect to find one.

It took 4 weeks before this vehicle (which I love) to be delivered to Orpington. Although Martin was extremely helpful - we were let down by management. We were told repeatedly that the car was on it's way - only for management to fail to deliver the right information. We were lied to time and time again. My car was then delivered from Southampton to Manchester when Martin asked for it to be delivered to Orpington - but no one was listening. Very poor service on management. I have no problem with all the help that Martin gave us.

As I live 300 miles from the garage some things on survey don't apply. The dealership was friendly and the salesman Leon Wolf was great, the car was cleaned and very presentable, and only wish my local dealers were as good. Will certainly use again.
