Happy with the car. I’m not completely happy with the sales process : I was promised a ‘tank of petrol ‘ ; this never happened. Also my son’s partner introduced me to the dealership. I asked that she would get an intro commission and was assured that this amount had been deducted from the invoice on the car she purchased; this wasn’t the case and she is still unpaid. Shocking treatment. I previously had 17 years experience of working for Ford dealerships, at very senior levels. I have to say that my experience at Renault has been poor in comparison. Having just listened to the way my son’s partner has been treated and the poor follow up and a number of falsehoods I am concerned that the service agreement I entered into will be honoured in the same spirit by Renault Leicester, as I agreed.

The General Manager was very helpful and straight forward when I discussed the purchase of the car with clear information regarding cash discount. This helped to firm up my decision to complete the deal.


Up to buying this car I was having a lot of problems in getting a decent deal from other dealers and was impressed with the way Renault Leicester conducted the business and the way they have dealt with any after sales issues.

I purchased my Renault from Chris, from the first point of contact he has been nothing but professional and knowledgable.


From the moment i arrived until the keys were handed back i found all the staff to be very courteous, friendly and helpful. Everything was explained in clear and understandable terms and i was charged exactly what i was quoted at the time of booking. The only slightly negative aspect of my visit was finding somewhere to leave my car on arrival. The small site is shared with the used car sales department and parking is very limited

I was checked in for my car's service by the young man from the Nissan dealership who was most helpful in checking the vehicle in, explaining the options availabel and took the time to show me how to use the coffee machine and got me the drink (I was not spoken to by either os the ladies from the Renault Service reception at this time). The lady on the front desk was very kind and checked with me during my wait if everything was OK. The service I received from these two people was first class. My PCP had come to an end so I visited Renault to talk through my options. I chose the Captur, but as I needed an auto my only option was a diesel, I would have preferred a petrol. The quote for a replacement car was outstanding, however on my next visit I was told the systems had been playing up and that quote was wrong. Options were again looked at and I had to settle for a lower spec model. There were a few problems with ending the finance for my old car, which I could have done without as I am not well. But eventually this was sorted out.

Staff are friendly & helpful. the car was ready for collection ahead of scheduled time, despite the fact I was a little late taking it in due to traffic problems. i was reassured that that was no problem.


In a phone call from Renault,I was misled as regards to the amount of tread left on my tyres being told there was 1.4 mm left,so they needed urgent attention.This resulted in my purchase of 2 new tyres when in actual fact there was 3mm left- above the legal limit. Also after I got my car back the tyre pressure warning light came on because the technicians had not reset the on board computer. I had to refer to my service book to see how to rectify this. AND the technicians had not left the lights set as they had found them i.e on automatic, so again I had to sort this out- whilst driving. When I left my car at reception I mentioned to the receptionist that the previous experience we as a family had had was not good so she actually wrote on my documentation QUALITY CHECK PLEASE.I did complain to the service department at the time regarding the tyres but was not offered any recompense.

Maybe a bit of a sceptic remark but as I had to have no work done, yet a clutch judder was noted. A tad bit annoying when my vehicle seems to be driving same as it always has. Also last year you quoted me £271 approx for brake pads and discs, yet luckily for myself I managed to get new ones fitted for less than a third of your quotation. I question how much you actually charge for parts and more so labour?

When I arrived to collect my vehicle, the battery had died. A member of the team had left my car lights on and drained the battery. I understand that accidents happen, however I had collected my vehicle on a late lunch break. Therefore I had to make up my time at work later on. I also had to arrange for another family member to pick up my son, as I literally had no way of getting back to pick him up. What should have been a 15 minute visit, took one hour. When you’ve just spent £800 at a garage, you want to at least be able to drive the vehicle away promptly


An efficient and caring staff working in clean and welcoming premises. They took time to ensure my comfort throughout the day.


The staff were all very friendly, professional and polite. I wasn’t able to collect my car the same day because a bolt had broken when trying to change the brakes so I had to wait until the following day. The lady (I’m sorry, I don’t know her name!) phoned me immediately to let me know and told me exactly what time my car would be ready the next day. I arrived exactly on time and my car was ready to go. It wasn’t able to be valeted because someone hadn’t shown up to work but I was assured that I could go back for a free valet at anytime. I’m extremely happy with the service I received at Renault Leicester and the recent new staff are a great asset to the dealership.

It was a great experience from start to finish.... Steve who was the sales manager at the branch got me an amazing deal on a new captur, was very patient and helped all the way. The rest of the team were brilliant too, if Steve wasn’t around and made everything seamless. Well done Renault Leicester

The nav system (tom tom) is .not explained clear enough, that too get updates, it will cost 50 pounds per year. When you can buy with unlimited updated from halfords for much less. Your updates need to be priced at a reasonable yearly cost, not a rip off price. This has left a bad taste in the mouth, we would recommend but warn others of this basic feature, which is great but is costly.

Unfortunately shortly after collecting the vehicle the satellite navigation and radio ceased to operate. I then had to take the car to Tiverton (our local garage) one hour away and it was found that it needed an SD update to the system. I understand that this should have been carried out by yourselves at the preinspection check. I have reported this back to Richard Parrott who was looking into the matter but as yet not got back to me. Overall I am very pleased with the comfort and performance of the car.

Very pleased with my purchase except very disappointed with the fact that my car had no wheel nut covers,for a company the size of Renault these should be standard on all your cars.When my husband phoned to see why there were no nuts he got told it wasn't company practice to put them on there cars but he was more than welcome to buy some.Not a very forthcoming response from Renaul!!

Only one lissue we had we travelled to Chester on Wednesday 2/3 the weather was really terrible and the water in the wind screen wipers ran out we were on the motorway so we had to travel several miles with a really dirty windscreen that we couldn't see out which was quite dangerous so just a request to check the water is full when handing a car over. Elliott was really helpful and answered all our questions.

Why would you hand over a car that had no fuel in it? I literally had to go straight to the nearest petrol station. I felt that this showed lack of customer care and courtesy. Although staff were very friendly I am not sure if I would recommend you to a friend as my daughter got a much better deal from another company.

Should the vehicle have had a pre delivery check over? I'm having to take my car back to the garage on Dec 14th to get a dodgy Eco switch sorted, and the LED day lights and front fog lights that don't work. When I booked the car in I asked the service department to check ALL switches, lights, and any other functions that are car that SHOULD be working. Hopefully that will be done! Other than that, the service that I have received (to date!) has been great

Very happy with overall experience and the car. I'd comment however, that the quality of the valet was not what I'd call excellent, as the alloys were not cleaned (other than a superficial wash) and a small scuff is on the left wing which I know was not there when I inspected the vehicle. I cannot now prove how that happened of course, but I believe it was part of the valet.

Does this constitute the extent of your required feedback? I want to know why Renault consider it acceptable to provide a sat nav system that consists of half the postcode For FS it's inferior to TomTom or any other AND THEN when you you go online to update the system it's about as intuitive as a dyslexic twat. Get your bloody act together and reply to me to explain how I get the sat nav to see both parts of a post code and direct me accordingly.. It's not rocket science but Reneoult is delivering a sub standard product. End of.!!!!!!!

The car was supposedly safety checked by the service dept but I suffered some basic issues taking the car home. Ten minutes after leaving the garage the tyre pressure monitoring alarm went off. when the tyres were checked the front passenger tyre was over inflated and the rear passenger tyre was down to 22 psi. After a further 30 miles the oil oil level alarm came in. Again this was topped up as the level was at the low level on the dip stick. Upon inspection of the car a couple of days later I noticed the passenger side sill was damaged due to the jack crushing it when the front wheels changed out. The air conditioning does not work as is booked into a local Renault for repair. If this is what you call service I would doubt if Leicester Renault is fit to be an agent. Please feel free to forward this survey to Renault UK.

Maybe need to quality check cars - some lose trim around the front wheel arch needs attention, but couldn't be fixed during handover - it may be down to "Renault built quality" - but could have been sorted on a new car.
