I've been a Motability customer since 1991, and experienced various levels of customer care via other dealerships. This is my first Renault vehicle, and my choice was based in part on the high level of customer care I encountered on my first visit to the dealership in Cardiff, (and of course the vehicle choice and technical specifications). I have been very impressed with the customer care and attention I received at the dealership and I am absolutely delighted with my new Kadjar. My Ford was MOT'd by Renault prior to handing it back, and the process was made easy by the fact that my car was picked up and dropped off at a convenient time and address and it had been cleaned and valeted throughout when I received it back. I have been very impressed by the friendliness and excellent customer care I have received and would like to thank Heather and the team at Renault for making my experience so positive. It really has been a 10 out of 10 experience - well done!

There was some confusion whether or not my tyres needing changing. I had to bring my car in earlier in the year for a routine safety check (something to do with window wipers), the mini service said I'd need two new tyres by the time my mot came up so I was surprised I didn't need new tyres on the actual day of service

It was difficult to make an appointment with Renault and I had to go through the main 08 number to speak with somebody. The operator coul not give me a clear answer whether the fault would be covered by the manufacturers warranty. On arriving at Renault Cardiff. I approached the main front desk where an abrupt lady with short blonde hair awaited. I informed her I was there to get my vehicle serviced and repaired in which she acknowledged with, "over there".......whilst pointing to her left. I then spoke with Johnat the service desk who was very helpful and informative. He made my experience a lot better. On retiring hours later I approached the service desk and spoke with another abrupt lady with short brown/red hair who informed me that I need to see John, not her. My vehicle was repaired and serviced. The price was extortionate but I realised that beforehand. I expected for my vehicle to at least be clean on collection, but it wasn't. The outside appeared that it had been jet washed only and the inside looked like it hadn't been touched. I would expect a lot more for the price Renault charge.

I found it satisfying that, on arrival at Cardiff, I was met by a member of the servicing team by name, which, whilst not wishing to appear 'snobby', found very satisfying. My car was purchased from Cardiff and is now 10 years old, so not a big time car buyer. It has however, always been serviced there, despite taking 1.5 hours to drive there. I received a comprehensive explanation as to what showed as a result of the safety check, along with later, a video showing the points requiring attention - very good indeed- which I will arrange later this week, to have remedied ( The total cost was rather more than I would have wished for, but have long since realised that cars are not cheap to run!). I couldn't help thinking to myself, whilst driving home, how so much had improved from my days of driving company cars and the vast difference in 'treatment' that I, as a customer got now, as opposed to the 1970's/80's absolutely incomparable. All in all, very good and apologies for rambling somewhat.

The only issue was that I was informed my brake pads were 60/40 percent and didn't need changing but when I went to Kwik Fit for tyre change (had been told to do so at Renault in about 1000 miles) the brakes had to be changed!

A suspension problem arose and I took the Clio to Renault, hoping to get advice on whether to drive on, and to book the car in for repair. Very happy with work carried out on vehicle and time it took. Would have like to have been offered coffee or at least explained that coffee was available to waiting customers. I waited for my vehicle for about 2 hours , the wait suited me as I got on with some paperwork but I had to ask if I was able to purchase a coffee anywhere. Other customers who came in after me where immediately asked if they wanted a drink , I think these were more regular customers or people known to the dealship.

The car was supposed to be ready in the afternoon, but was not ready until the next day following the identification of a further repair being required. A loan car was offered, but it meant an additional trip to Cardiff for me to collect the car the next day which was difficult with my work commitments. Teresa was very helpful and arranged for fuel to be put in the loan vehicle as well as my own vehicle which was considerate (as I had previously brought my vehicle in for repair in March and put a lot of fuel in the loan car, only to be told to return it later that day as the work could not be done because the equipment wasn't available, which was frustrating, time consuming and expensive). There have been a few hiccups with this particular repair, but overall I am happy with the service received.

Personally I found the service experience to be great after having the car picked up and dropped off. I also received a call to let me know when the service way complete and I could pay over the phone. However, I found the booking system confusing. I tried to book via the app but it was unclear what service I needed or what the cost was. I then called the service centre to book and the individual on the phone gave limited information and was very unenthusiastic. I booked the service and then had to send two separate emails to the service centre to obtain the information that I was not given over the phone.

Unfortunately for us, several issues were discovered with the car during its routine service but these were highlighted to us in a very sympathetic way and we were made to feel like the service department were doing all they could to wnsure that every option was looked at to keep our costs down but while ensuring the cars safety and quality. As usual, perfect customer service softened the blow of a large cost.

I'm a driving instructor in barry so its not ideal taking time out to go into cardiff so i was very happy to be able to do the 'while you wait' service. The chap that booked our vehicle in for repair and dealt with a service that was due all in the same visit was superb. The issue we had was with getting the vehicle booked in the first place. We had to get Renault Assist to our Home address and the AA told us not to drive the vehicle. This was contradictory to what we were advised at the time of booking the car in for repair which we were initially advised couldn't be for two weeks or so, 'as long as the dashboard lights weren't red it's okay to drive with caution' we were told. The only way of getting our vehicle looked at earlier was for Renault assist to deliver the vehicle to your door. When a vehicle has broken down the ladies in charge of booking should be more sympathetic to the Customer. The Renault assist recovery and hire car went like clockwork, as I said the chap I dealt with in Cardiff was brilliant, having arranged for my service (which was booked in for the following week) to be carried out at the same time as my repair to save me the hassle of coming back again. I'll certainly have no concerns dealing with Cardiff again, I'd rather not go through central booking though if I do suffer further mechanical breakdown.

The woman i was dealing with at service reception was very rude, accusing me of being late when i was 20 mins earlier than my confirmed appt time. It transpires the online booking system appt times do not correlate with those of the dealership. How was i meant to know that! She should take a leaf out of the boys' book. She obviously realised though as she discounted the cost of my service. I would go back here but would hope to be dealing with someone else.

We paid for four years servicing up front when we bought the car. Last year they lost the paper work and wanted me to pay again, the paperwork was eventually found. Six weeks before my service I phone the manager to make sure I did not get the problem again this year, a was assured it was all sorted out. Car CN 15 KTC went in for servicing, staff were great as always and while I was there I fell for the new Senic which I would purchase in April once the road tax charges have been sorted, we even agreed a part amount for my car an yes it happened again. The following day I had a phone call asking for payment for the service, as you can imagine this was the last straw. I spoke to a manager "Neil" I think who eventually found the paperwork, to date I have not had an appology or an assurance that this will not happen again next year or the following year. For this reason we have decided to cancel any thought of buying another Renault and are now looking at another make to use as a tow car. Phil Hughes

My car was booked and I was told at the time it would be ready by 1pm as I have to get home for my children. I was greeted at Cardiff by a not so happy female who said she couldn't guarantee that and it would probably be much later. My car was eventually ready by 2pm. I was also told I need new brakes very soon but a local garage had checked them 2 weeks previous when changing tyres and said they were fine for another 7-10 k. I am only on 13k !!! I have a problem with my keys not being sensed by the car therefore I can't gain access or start the car. Apparently there was nothing wrong yet I still have problems yesterday with my main key and the second doesn't work either. I also have a service plan for the car which was miss sold to me as I wasn't told I could only use it at Cardiff. I live 20+miles away but have a local Renault dealer where I would be much happier taking my car. This wasn't explained to me or my husband at point of sale.

In my honest opinion I don't think the servicing department would be anything with out John on your service desk. He makes it his business to make sure he knows exactly why you are there and how he can help you, he is always so friendly and goes out of his way to help in any way he can.

Ihave been to Renault Cardiff twice in February, once for brake pads to be fitted and also for MOT. Staff are very welcoming , waiting area pleasant , with excellent coffee in proper cups. I was kept informed re timing and anticipated completion of work. Car was valeted to an excellent standard.

Car recovered by RAC,who asked us to let Renault know problem,informed by receptionist that the RAC would have already contacted them.Repair took ten days due to this breakdown in communication,as repair was initially undertaken unsuccessfully,as pump had collapsed and a new one had to be ordered,which they would have known if we had been allowed to speak to workshop.Pump was ordered,but then it arrived incomplete,all in all eight out of ten days,i was without a car and had to borrow a car to do school runs.John,who communicated with us,was very helpfull,but all in all,things could have been handled better overall.

Whilst I am happy with my new car i was a little disappointed with the finish of the car I understand it's a 2013 plate and you always pick up scratches and chips I was told £105 was all the car needed to refurb 2 wheels and buff or mop the bonnet and front panel circled in yellow however on viewing the car it was then noted that 3 wheels needed to be done not 2 so I would like to know if that was the resin behind the paint work not finished to the standard I expected in saying that the salesman was very helpful 10 out of 10 sorry to have to bring this to your attention but I feel I have to mention it as I was a bit disappointed

Following the delivery to my home of my new used car on Thursday 27th July 2017, I saw new damage to its bonnet. I immediately phoned to register this fault, but was unable to speak to the sales executive, David Cornish until that evening. I spoke to his manager today,Tuesday 8th August 2017 and it is his contention that this was existing damage rather than new. I do not accept this, having photographed the car prior to its purchase and it can be seen that there is no damage at all to the bonnet area around the Mini emblem. I am being stonewalled by the used car manager, with no recourse other than to register this as a formal complaint. I have the documentary proof to show that this is new damage that has occurred between my viewing the car and its delivery. Why should I have to pay for a repair that was not of my making ? I may have expected this from a small used car outlet but not from Renault. I ask that an impartial manager review my evidence and settle this dispute before further action is taken under the Consumer Rights Act. Please contact me via email or phone. I paid to have my vehicle delivered to my address therefore the aftersales department was not applicable. Although the Sales Representative specifically requested that the Valet's clean the roof this was not actioned. I was, however, offered the option of getting the roof cleaned and billing the Valets which would have been difficult for me to achieve as I use the van daily for work therefore I chose to clean it myself. I did not expect, however, to receive a vehicle with the roof covered in bird droppings and therefore it was very difficult to remove these stubborn stains. I did, however, appreciate the Sales Representative's offer. I was going to ask for a touch up stick for future use but I have not found the time to make this request. Overall I am very happy with my van and would still recommend Renault Cardiff.

Following an acceptable experience and having owned the car for two weeks I am, so far, very happy with my new vehicle. I do however have a couple of comments which concern me. I asked if it would be possible to change the 19 inch wheels for the 17 inch wheels and was told that this would not be a problem and they were changed. The vehicle had only covered 2300 miles so I am very surprised to see that the two replacement front tyres only have between 3 and 4 mm of tread remaining. I would have expected to have replacement tyres commensurate with the mileage covered by the vehicle. Secondly I was promised a touch- in paint stick in Flame Red to repair a minor but deep scratch on a door sill which was not there when I viewed the car. Having not quibbled about the deal offered and paying £17400 for the car I feel a bit shortchanged in being given 2 tyres which would fail an MOT on this 7 month old car with 2300 miles on the clock before it reaches it's first birthday. Your comments would be appreciated.

Dissapointed that the car developed a fault after 150 miles, the polution sensor failed and has now been fixed by Martins in Basingstoke. Renault at Oxford were totaly usless and most un-helpfull. I picked my car up on the 31st of May and a couple of days later drove over a speed bump and there was a rubbing noise coming from the front suspension also the air con doesn't work. ( I assumed coming from a Renault dealer I wouldn't have to check over to see if everything worked) I'm a bit dissdpointed that I have to wait over two weeks for it to be seen .

There were some marks/chip marks on the paintwork that should have been dealt with before I arranged to collect the car. None of which were dealt with. I asked if my car could arrange be taken in to Swansea for these issues to be sorted and that was agreed. David Cornish did explain that the chip marks and other marks just needed a touch up and he did give me some paint. I subsequently emailed David asking if he could arrange for mycar to go in to Swansea but I haven't had a response which is disappointing. I have tried to sort the chip marks myself which isn't ideal. I have also had to touch up some marks on the front of the car. So whilst I'm pleased with the car in general I am very disappointed that these were not sorted before the car was handed over as I had clearly mentioned all of these marks when I viewed the car.

No, I wasn't offered a test drive, I had to request one. I got the impression the sales person didn't want to sell the car to me, as he kept trying to put me off buying a 4x4. He was more interested in selling me his old car (2x4) on the forecourt. I am doing a number plate transfer, to P3 PRD, but I am still waiting for the DVLA to send me the log book of LA16 VEP back. I've contacted the DVLA, but they can't help me. I e-mailed Will Gannon twice, but didn't receive a reply. When I called, the sales person wasn't interested, and told me I just had to wait. It's nearly 4 weeks since changing the vehicle, but still no log book, and nobody is willing to help.

Please confirm what form of vehicle inspection was carried out before collection, if any? It appears that no checks were actually carried out before sale of the vehicle as within 24 hours of collection the tyre pressure warning came on, after driving from Cardiff to Stoke. The following morning I checked the 4 tyre pressures which were between 25 & 28 psi, not the recommended 34 front & 30 rear psi. Road safety?? The handbrake is so slack it will not hold the vehicle on any incline, no matter how slight. The rear spoiler on the rear hatch door catches the roof & hinges & has started to rub the paintwork so the undercoat colour is now visible. I have taken the car to our local Renault dealer who have photographed the defect, & are waiting for feedback from Renault. How many more problems might I find, I have only owned the car for 1 1/2 weeks I am not impressed. Are these the sort of issues I should get used to now I have chosen a Renault?

Sales staff were helpful, courteous and professional. I was correctly directed to appropriate web sites for proceeding with electricity access and supply purposes from Chargemaster. This part of the exercise has proved to be less than straightforward and quite complex and time consuming. I had to rely on support from family members who understood the complexities of scanning and sending documents, forms and photos to Chargemaster. Renault staff at Cardiff were very efficient in providing information which was requested and have been most helpful in providing re-charging facilities while my own arrangements are being set up. In hindsight, it may be considered by you that sales staff take a more pro-active role in assisting customers to facilitate supply procedures when purchasing electric vehicles.

Overall pleased with experience. Joe was very pleasant and respectful to us both, and we did know what we wanted in terms of colour coding, and spec for the car. We did ask about servicing deals which we felt we were a little fobbed off with. It may have been because we came over from Bristol and they felt it was a long way to come for servicing.But we never actually got an actual price from yourselves for this.

I would recommend the team to friends with the reservation of ensuring that any offer made by a salesman is signed for there and then. we were left disappointed by an assurance that the vehicle we wanted was available but then left with non return of phone calls and avoiding us due to the vehicle we wanted nit actually being available. Honesty at the beginning of the process would have been appreciated and acceptable. The situation was retrieved only due to excellent service from the manager to rectify the problems we had encountered due to the salesman.

I had to actively seek a salesman despot them watching me waited noby the vehicle and looking at it in the cold for 10 minutes. The vehicle was scratched and damaged when I turned up to collect the car. The car was booked in for touch up and few other issues and warning lights on dashboard. When I turned up the woman at the reception desk was very unhelpful and uninterested. Despite driving the 35 miles back to Cardiff as requested I was told no time was had to look at the warning lights and issues and I was lucky that I had my paintwork sorted. I intend to take this further

I purchased my new pre registered vehicle from you and immediately noticed a defect on the interior roof. I am currently waiting for this to be rectified. In the process of this being done I have had to return my new car to the garage within the first week of owning it and have been left with a strong turps like smell within the vehicle as attempts to remove the defect failed. Again not expected on a new vehicle. At this time I am a slightly disappointed customer as I feel this defect should have been picked up when the car allegedly had a valet twice before I collected it.

I would like to know why the car was not checked over thoroughly prior to my collecting it by an experienced mechanic. I have had a catalogue of problems since collecting it which I hope have now all been completed. I was also informed when I asked for the vehicle to be completely checked when it came back into your workshop that you 'do not go looking for work' I realise that this was not a jaguar I was purchasing but to me it is my means of transport and I need it to carry on my day to day life and would prefer not to have it in your workshop.

No questions but two comments 1. I was told where aftersales was located but not 'introduced' as such. Given the distance I live from Cardiff it is unlikely I will use aftersales. 2. Throughout completing the paperwork at the salesman's desk his radio was playing. This was distracting and is not, in my view, not professional. It is not the environment in which I would choose to conduct business. At the very least I would have expected to be asked if I would prefer the radio to be switched off.
