Nothing wrong with the sales team, the problem you have is they have a greeting desk as you walk in, she is to busy doing the cross word or word game in a quiz book, this is so un-proffesional on Renault part, she should meet and greet and lift her head up, also i am still waiting for a refund from my deal of 160.00 which was taken from renault for my old clio, over 9 days now, and still nothing.

The overall experience was excellent. Communication and giving straight answers to straight questions was particularly good. The car was delayed in customs but I was provided a demo car, kept informed of its progress and Kevin Brown stayed on late to facilitate the handover to prevent me having to leave my new job early.


Everyone from the lady on the reception who always greeted me with a smile and I will get whoever you need to would you like a hot drink while you wait,which was never any more than a few seconds. The purchase and people we’ve dealt with was all good, real professionals. The problems we have/had are all after sales and with the technical side; initially couldn’t log in to the RCI application which was resolved few days later; next had an email re the GAP insurance document but was unable to access the document as the email suggested. Emailed the dealer for help, had a response that they will Forward my query to the right person but still waiting, this was 4 days ago.

originally my car was booked in for an MOT with renault....day before they had to cancel...the lady i spoke with was extremly rude and unhelpful and told me id have to find another dealer to do the MOT...i was outraged by her attitude.Luckily...i asked to speak to the manager...and he arranged for my car to be collected and MOT done at anither garage..as he understood the situation i was in.....i would like to thank that gentleman for all he did for me....an excellent service....and will definately use renault cardiff again.

Only slight bugbear; I have a service plan, for which I pay monthly, and so do not get the service sheets showing the work that has been carried out and details such as tyre tread and brake pad material remaining, which I used to receive on previous vehicles serviced here. I was told these are sent to the Service Plan provider!


I feel as though all the staff are incredibly enthusiastic about Renault cars and try their best to maintain high standards of service. It is reassuring for someone with limited knowledge of cars. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had a warning light on for lack of air pressure in my tyres, and had a new tyre changed for a puncture. I was not shown how to remove the warning light. I assume the pressure in the other tyres was not tested as a week later the warning light was on again with more air needed in the tyres.

My previous visit was a total shambles, so much so I am talking to the motor ombudsman about the service I received. In a nut shell the fuel gauge stuck on full, and I returned the car for servicing, mot and this problem within the warranty period. A fix was done but I was told the electrician was not in. The fault happened again 6 weeks later and I was told I'd have to pay for the repair, by your matriarch Samantha Hodgins which I was not happy with as the original fix should have had a guarantee and was obviously not hood enough. Since this episode I have let everyone know about my discontent with the quality of service I received and the bombastic attitude of your Customer Support Manager, which I will continue to do, potential customers need to know all the details....... I can't wait for your reply to this one. You can probably sense I am not at all happy with this situation.

I've been a regular customer at Renault Cardiff since buying my first Scenic there in 1999. We've always had our cars serviced at Renault Cardiff and continue to be impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. We are always well looked after by John Stokes.


It is difficult to complete this at this stage, as there are limited options choices. The vehicle went in for a persistent rattle emanating from the nearside dashboard, the vehicle was with you for two days assessment and then ten days for repair, which I felt was rather a long time, however if fixed that would have been OK. It seems the rattle is now re-occuring on an intermittent basis. I will continue to use the car to establish if the rattle is Back! Overall experience was very good but after paying for the service, I realised, a few days later, that I'd already had a 3 year service plan in place. Contacted the dealer and a refund was organised but it should have shown up on my records in the first place. Refund was received the following day, so well done Cardiff!

when dropping off my vehicle I found that I had to wait around to hand over the keys as the job description had not been handed to the reception desks and the person answering my queries had to go to the workshop to find the person responsible. I was then asked to wait again until that person could be found. In the end my husband took over, left the keys and asked the person on reception to deal with it.

Booked in for MOT as well as service as confirmed by email, no MOT done. Informed of problem with drivers window - no part despite someone booked in after me but collecting before me having same part replaced. Being told if I wanted window done would have to come back & Renault would pay 75% - if your a design fault you should have parts and pay to replace!!!Not a clue what wrong with my A/C. Waited hour and half to be called back with estimate of collection time and no one bothered- response from service colleague was "it wasn't me, not my fault". Will never use again, have bought all my cars from hers for last 14 years will not buy another..

When booking the car in for MOT and Service at 08:00, the lady at the Service Desk was struggling as a fellow colleague had not arrived at work; Their were plenty of Sales Staff etc. that seemed to be wandering around aimlessly; it's a shame that they didn't lend a hand to help her out and make the booking process less stressful all round! I was sent a video link to my phone mid day showing the underside of my car and tyres via a body-cam link. No clear explanation as to what stage my car was at during it's Service or MOT, so I rang the Garage only to be told it's not ready. I find that gimmick a complete and utter waste of time, as most people couldn't tell the underside of their car from the back of their washing machine, what's the point?


I've always found on my visits that the staff are ever so friendly and they can't do enough for you. The senior advisor John is nothing less than excellent. You should have staff like John in all of your dealerships


Service was quick and simple, even checked a concern I had about water ingress. However, a couple of days later I went to use my windscreen washers to find a small squirt and then nothing, upon checking the washer bottle it was empty! As this was the first time since the service that I used them I could only assume the level wasn't checked.

I was informed that I needed 2 front tyres. Nobody questioned as to why a car with only 9500 on clock needed tyres. I took car to specialist tyre dealer who informed me that the wheels were not alligned correctly & that was the reason both tyres on inside walls were worn. Why do a service & not check why tyres worn so quickly really really disapointed with Renault. These little things never happened to me at BMW or Lexus. It will be interesting to see what you do about my experience!!!

Neil Hudson and John Stokes at Renault along with Rhian on main reception are a pleasure to deal with as are other staff at Renault. Excellent customer service provided. We collected a kadjar on 30th september after driving the car for 2 minutes the spanner and engine management light came on with a message check air pollution filter. Took the car back to the garage where they run a diagnostic test and turned light off. Travelled home at 50 miles on the clock the same problem happened again. Rac were called and deemed the car unsafe to drive. Car towed back to renault cardiff. We then had the issue as a motability customer to arrange a courtesy car on a saturday which proved difficult and caused inconvenience. On monday 2nd october had constant updates from the garage and they knew what the problem was and part was ordered. I also complained that the car was not clean enough and needed additional valeting which the garage arranged to do. We arranged to collect the car on tuesday 3rd october at lunchtime. We picked car up at 2pm car appeared much more cleaner. We drove the car 5-10 minutes and again all the lights came on. It was clear the problem was not resolved so we returned back to the garage. I spoke to kevin sales manager and Neil and told them i no longer want this car. They advised me to ring renault uk which i did at the showroom. They were looking into the problem for me i then rung motability to give them an update on the situation and they are now dealing with the problem. I am appalled and very dissatisfied that a new car with very little miles has so many problems. It does not look good on renault to release a faulty new car so not a happy customer. It has caused a lot of anxiety and stress along with inconvenience.

Excellent on the whole. I actually experienced an unusual cutting out, not the usual economy cut out at the lights after the service but by the time I got home it seemed to have sorted itself out. The reception from all staff was really friendly and helpful- a gold star!

I had a letter offering me the software upgrade for the Dacia Duster. I dropped the car off at 09:00 they told me it should be ready at 12:30. They offered me a lift back into Cardiff as well but it was a nice day so I walked. At 12:25 they rang me and said the car was ready. The carpet inside the car had been vacumed when I got it back. The car was driven away and I have had no problems with it

Got in to the dealership as doors opened on a satirday mornong and was greeted warmly. Had chit chat with a rep. Got the car back quickly. Inside of car was still a bit dirty on back seats.

Lots of staff doing nothing, passed from pillar to post, i'm not dealing with you he is, I'm not doing anything so you will have to wait until he is free as he is dealing with a customer now. The receptionist was doing a puzzle from a newspaper, she might look good but not the best service. We found the cars computer was still showing service required after it had been completed, come back we can sort that out but a fifty mile round trip is not the best option and the traffic delays are not the best. Five out of ten, is not good, room for improvement I should say so.


Servicing was excellent but we went to second hand car sales and had a really poor customer experience -so much so that we are considering never buying a Renault again.

Great service at the dealership. However i don't like being bombarded by phone calls and e-mails after the visit. i understand the wish/need to undertake market research but it is too much.


It is often difficult to get hold of the right person on the phone and you get the distinct impression that people have better things to do than help. Once you get through to the right person, it's a great service - it's some of the people in the middle who could do with learning more about providing an effective customer service and making it a better experience.

When waiting to have my car returned I was offered a cup of coffee my wife was on her phone watching the video that the service team had sent her I assumed we would both get one but it was only me that was brought one. I phoned on two occasions a couple if days after the service due to information that came up on the compiter. Twice I gave two phone numbers so the device team could return my call. No one bothered. So I had to check my oil myself. Not at all happy paying £139 for something I then had to do myself

when the service engineer notified of a fault??? to the front breaks on the video provided the explanation could have been more detailed.The final statement suggested there was nothing to worry about with a slight scoring.I looked at this myself but felt this was really minor.When I asked another garage locally they suggested it was normal wear and tear and there was no problem.The pads were effected and the discs did not require replacing.

I emailed John on Sunday - he booked the car in Monday morning. It took three visits across 5months, including a full service, for the tyre valves to all be replaced as they were leaking due to a fault, and only then it was on my insistence due to the fact that I am indeed able to pump up the car tyres myself, and they didn't need pumping up but the valves replacing due to the frequency of the pressures dropping (every 200miles they were down to around 21-26 from 34!) The reception desk who answered my call regarding a pre-arranged pick back to the service centre to collect the car was not listening while I explained that due to having to take my mother to a&e, I would not be at the designated pick up point and would collect the car later on in the day. Upon returning to collect the car, comments were made to me as to having not turned up for the pick up time and having wasted the time of the driver. I found this most unprofessional as I had called, and the message not passed on. I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm unhappy, but I certainly don't feel I can reccommend the centre based on these experiences.

the service I experience at Renault Cardiff is exemplary. Everyone at the Penarth Road dealership is exemplary in their friendliness and helpfulness. John Stokes always looks after me extremely well and I feel in safe hands. However, I have a couple of concerns: when I booked the car in, my call went through to someone not at the dealership. He took my details and throughout the call, I felt he was reading from a script, he had no idea I was a regular custoner nor was he interested and he was initially unhelpful in arranging for me to have a lift into work after I had delivered the car to Renault. It felt as if I was dealing with a different company - not Renault. I persisted and eventually the car was booked in on a day that suited me and I was assured a lift would be provdided. A few days after the car was at the dealership, I got a call from someone wanting me to give her feedback on my visit. When she persisted in getting my name wrong, I realised she was not calling from Renault. She called me Miss Carole! I told her I would rater complete an online survey and rang off. These two calls and the people I spoke to did nothing to uphold the values of the Renault brand or ethos and I feel is potentially very damaging to your business.


I had a lift into Cardiff. I then had a call to say the car was ready two hours later at 1.30pm (which was great) however my options were to either catch a £7 taxi back or wait until 4pm for the free pick up service. I ended up having to pay £7 to get a taxi back. Also when I was called to say the tyres were below the 3 mark I wasn't told that the legal limit was anything above 1.6 for tyres. It was only on the video that was sent via email that I picked up on that point. I think it should have been adv during the phone call that Renault advises the tyre to be changed as below 3 mark which is what Renault advises but legal requirement is 1.6 and over.

I had a problem with the fuel gauge on my new car. I was greeted on the morning by John Stokes, he was brilliant. Very polite, clan and tidy, knowledgeable and the perfect person for front of house. He asked little questions such as how do I fill the tank. When I gave my answer, right to the top he advised me just to fill it till the pump handle cuts out twice and that will be fine. He then explained why. I have stuck to what I have been told. On collecting my car he told me to have a seat and he would personally get my car. He did just that and he had made sure it was valeted, it was better than when I collected the car, stunning. The lady on the front desk also made me at home, superb coffee, friendly and so clean and tidy. So pleased I purchased from Renault Cardiff they are a credit to the Renault family. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Tricia kept me informed on a regular basis about developments. The issue I encountered was as follows. I've had the Zoe for over a year and I've had to return it to the dealer on more than one occasion for the same reason. This relates to the warning sign coming up telling me to adjust the tyre pressure. This was despite the fact that the pressure had been set at the levels shown on the door. The most recent occasion for this problem was when I drove off after the year 1 service. The technicians couldn't resolve the problem on that day and I booked it in a week later for them to investigate further. The car was with the garage all day and it wasn't until late afternoon that they worked out what the problem was. Apparently, the wrong tyre pressure sticker had been placed on the door. This stated that the correct pressures were 32 front and 29 back. The correct figure is 36 for the front and back. As a result, I have been driving the car with the incorrect tyre pressure for over a year and I have spent valuable time taking the car to the garage in relation to the warning sign. The assumption appears to have been made that there was a fault with the monitoring system whereas in fact the garage was inflating the tyres to the wrong pressures. I'm surprised that the garage didn't appear to have a reference list of recommended tyre pressures for all Renault cars. If this simple check had been done it would have saved all of us a lot of time (and inconvenience). Finally, your system for attaching the labels to the cars needs to be reviewed - this is a very basic mistake which should have been picked up before the car was sold.


John was extremely helpful and courteous.I was pleased with the outcome of the service.

Whilst I am happy with my new car i was a little disappointed with the finish of the car I understand it's a 2013 plate and you always pick up scratches and chips I was told £105 was all the car needed to refurb 2 wheels and buff or mop the bonnet and front panel circled in yellow however on viewing the car it was then noted that 3 wheels needed to be done not 2 so I would like to know if that was the resin behind the paint work not finished to the standard I expected in saying that the salesman was very helpful 10 out of 10 sorry to have to bring this to your attention but I feel I have to mention it as I was a bit disappointed

Following the delivery to my home of my new used car on Thursday 27th July 2017, I saw new damage to its bonnet. I immediately phoned to register this fault, but was unable to speak to the sales executive, David Cornish until that evening. I spoke to his manager today,Tuesday 8th August 2017 and it is his contention that this was existing damage rather than new. I do not accept this, having photographed the car prior to its purchase and it can be seen that there is no damage at all to the bonnet area around the Mini emblem. I am being stonewalled by the used car manager, with no recourse other than to register this as a formal complaint. I have the documentary proof to show that this is new damage that has occurred between my viewing the car and its delivery. Why should I have to pay for a repair that was not of my making ? I may have expected this from a small used car outlet but not from Renault. I ask that an impartial manager review my evidence and settle this dispute before further action is taken under the Consumer Rights Act. Please contact me via email or phone. I paid to have my vehicle delivered to my address therefore the aftersales department was not applicable. Although the Sales Representative specifically requested that the Valet's clean the roof this was not actioned. I was, however, offered the option of getting the roof cleaned and billing the Valets which would have been difficult for me to achieve as I use the van daily for work therefore I chose to clean it myself. I did not expect, however, to receive a vehicle with the roof covered in bird droppings and therefore it was very difficult to remove these stubborn stains. I did, however, appreciate the Sales Representative's offer. I was going to ask for a touch up stick for future use but I have not found the time to make this request. Overall I am very happy with my van and would still recommend Renault Cardiff.

Following an acceptable experience and having owned the car for two weeks I am, so far, very happy with my new vehicle. I do however have a couple of comments which concern me. I asked if it would be possible to change the 19 inch wheels for the 17 inch wheels and was told that this would not be a problem and they were changed. The vehicle had only covered 2300 miles so I am very surprised to see that the two replacement front tyres only have between 3 and 4 mm of tread remaining. I would have expected to have replacement tyres commensurate with the mileage covered by the vehicle. Secondly I was promised a touch- in paint stick in Flame Red to repair a minor but deep scratch on a door sill which was not there when I viewed the car. Having not quibbled about the deal offered and paying £17400 for the car I feel a bit shortchanged in being given 2 tyres which would fail an MOT on this 7 month old car with 2300 miles on the clock before it reaches it's first birthday. Your comments would be appreciated.

Dissapointed that the car developed a fault after 150 miles, the polution sensor failed and has now been fixed by Martins in Basingstoke. Renault at Oxford were totaly usless and most un-helpfull. For a fault like this to happen so soon I find most disheartning. No to the abve questions as these were n/a.

I picked my car up on the 31st of May and a couple of days later drove over a speed bump and there was a rubbing noise coming from the front suspension also the air con doesn't work. ( I assumed coming from a Renault dealer I wouldn't have to check over to see if everything worked) I'm a bit dissdpointed that I have to wait over two weeks for it to be seen .

There were some marks/chip marks on the paintwork that should have been dealt with before I arranged to collect the car. None of which were dealt with. I asked if my car could arrange be taken in to Swansea for these issues to be sorted and that was agreed. David Cornish did explain that the chip marks and other marks just needed a touch up and he did give me some paint. I subsequently emailed David asking if he could arrange for mycar to go in to Swansea but I haven't had a response which is disappointing. I have tried to sort the chip marks myself which isn't ideal. I have also had to touch up some marks on the front of the car. So whilst I'm pleased with the car in general I am very disappointed that these were not sorted before the car was handed over as I had clearly mentioned all of these marks when I viewed the car.

Great service from start to finish from Lee who I spoke to over the phone before visiting the garage (we were coming from Bristol so wanted to check there were appropriate cars in stock before driving to Cardiff), he showed us around the vehicles he thought would be most suitable, and we went for a test drive. No, I wasn't offered a test drive, I had to request one. I got the impression the sales person didn't want to sell the car to me, as he kept trying to put me off buying a 4x4. He was more interested in selling me his old car (2x4) on the forecourt. I am doing a number plate transfer, to P3 PRD, but I am still waiting for the DVLA to send me the log book of LA16 VEP back. I've contacted the DVLA, but they can't help me. I e-mailed Will Gannon twice, but didn't receive a reply. When I called, the sales person wasn't interested, and told me I just had to wait. It's nearly 4 weeks since changing the vehicle, but still no log book, and nobody is willing to help.

Please confirm what form of vehicle inspection was carried out before collection, if any? It appears that no checks were actually carried out before sale of the vehicle as within 24 hours of collection the tyre pressure warning came on, after driving from Cardiff to Stoke. The following morning I checked the 4 tyre pressures which were between 25 & 28 psi, not the recommended 34 front & 30 rear psi. Road safety?? The handbrake is so slack it will not hold the vehicle on any incline, no matter how slight. The rear spoiler on the rear hatch door catches the roof & hinges & has started to rub the paintwork so the undercoat colour is now visible. I have taken the car to our local Renault dealer who have photographed the defect, & are waiting for feedback from Renault. How many more problems might I find, I have only owned the car for 1 1/2 weeks I am not impressed. Are these the sort of issues I should get used to now I have chosen a Renault?

Sales staff were helpful, courteous and professional. I was correctly directed to appropriate web sites for proceeding with electricity access and supply purposes from Chargemaster. This part of the exercise has proved to be less than straightforward and quite complex and time consuming. I had to rely on support from family members who understood the complexities of scanning and sending documents, forms and photos to Chargemaster. Renault staff at Cardiff were very efficient in providing information which was requested and have been most helpful in providing re-charging facilities while my own arrangements are being set up. In hindsight, it may be considered by you that sales staff take a more pro-active role in assisting customers to facilitate supply procedures when purchasing electric vehicles.

I would recommend the team to friends with the reservation of ensuring that any offer made by a salesman is signed for there and then. we were left disappointed by an assurance that the vehicle we wanted was available but then left with non return of phone calls and avoiding us due to the vehicle we wanted nit actually being available. Honesty at the beginning of the process would have been appreciated and acceptable. The situation was retrieved only due to excellent service from the manager to rectify the problems we had encountered due to the salesman.

I had to actively seek a salesman despot them watching me waited noby the vehicle and looking at it in the cold for 10 minutes. The vehicle was scratched and damaged when I turned up to collect the car. The car was booked in for touch up and few other issues and warning lights on dashboard. When I turned up the woman at the reception desk was very unhelpful and uninterested. Despite driving the 35 miles back to Cardiff as requested I was told no time was had to look at the warning lights and issues and I was lucky that I had my paintwork sorted. I intend to take this further

I purchased my new pre registered vehicle from you and immediately noticed a defect on the interior roof. I am currently waiting for this to be rectified. In the process of this being done I have had to return my new car to the garage within the first week of owning it and have been left with a strong turps like smell within the vehicle as attempts to remove the defect failed. Again not expected on a new vehicle. At this time I am a slightly disappointed customer as I feel this defect should have been picked up when the car allegedly had a valet twice before I collected it.

I would like to know why the car was not checked over thoroughly prior to my collecting it by an experienced mechanic. I have had a catalogue of problems since collecting it which I hope have now all been completed. I was also informed when I asked for the vehicle to be completely checked when it came back into your workshop that you 'do not go looking for work' I realise that this was not a jaguar I was purchasing but to me it is my means of transport and I need it to carry on my day to day life and would prefer not to have it in your workshop.

I therefore was forced to break the law, and drive uninsured due to your companies bad administrative service.

No questions but two comments 1. I was told where aftersales was located but not 'introduced' as such. Given the distance I live from Cardiff it is unlikely I will use aftersales. 2. Throughout completing the paperwork at the salesman's desk his radio was playing. This was distracting and is not, in my view, not professional. It is not the environment in which I would choose to conduct business. At the very least I would have expected to be asked if I would prefer the radio to be switched off.
