New Renault Kadjar Review
An exciting car inside and out, the new Renault Kadjar has demanded attention since the second it was released back in 2015. This versatile all-rounder is perfect for families or anyone that needs that little bit extra. A range of models are available, all delivering the Kadjar appeal with it’s go-anywhere design while it continues to lead in the midsize crossover class.
Style radiates throughout the interior of the Kadjar, every corner is filled with only the finest material and utmost style. The soft-touch dashboard is built with black and grey plastics and the control panel is conveniently placed in the centre of the dashboard. Not only is the soft touch material and stylish design part of the interior comfort, the space and practicality is one of the most popular features. Several storage spaces are incorporated into the interior while the large boot offers a total 472 litres of luggage room in the back.
Pushing the new Renault design as far forward as possible, the technology inside the midsize crossover is built for ease-of-use and entertainment. The R-Link 2 touchscreen system is the main attraction of the Kadjar’s technology, with a range of features included, making the driving process much more entertaining. The R-Link 2 gives you access to a Multi-Sense system, driver assistance systems, air conditioning, seat position, multimedia and satnav. To enhance the experience of driving a Kadjar even further, some models include BOSE stereo, with high quality surround sound throughout the car.
With sharp steering and all-year-round control, the Kadjar’s drive is a versatile, exciting experience every time you step inside the vehicle. The three different engine types are built to satisfy every driver, with a 0-60mph as fast as only 10 seconds and an optional 4×4 wheel drive system to send power to every part of the car. The 1.2-litre TCe 130 engine with 128bhp is the only petrol engine available with the Kadjar, and it proves one of the fastest engine options available with it’s fast acceleration and impressive bhp.
Not only does the Kadjar come in a variety of affordable models, the design is built around cheap running costs, making it efficient in the long term too. The dCi 110 engine gets up to an incredible 74.3mpg, very impressive considering the large size of the Kadjar and the top-class performance it manages to provide. Even the TCe 130 engine gets up to 50.4 mpg, despite it’s 128bhp packed in the engine. The fuel emission figures are equally as impressive in the Kadjar, with a possible low of only 99g/km in the dCi 110 engine.
If the Kadjar hasn’t already captured the attention of all Renault fans, the five different models available are really going to excite. The slight variations on the Kadjar allow drivers to tailor their car to their preferences. The standard Kadjar is the Expression+ model, starting off as the cheapest model yet with all the fundamental features you would expect in a top class crossover. The Dynamique Nav, Dynamique S Nav, Signature Nav and Signature S Nav are the optional upgrades of the standard Expression+ model, all coming with more interior equipment, technology upgrades and several added features that really accentuate the enjoyment of the Kadjar.
